Always a dangerous thing to put me and predictions next to each other, never he less I have done the BBC predictor up to mid January when the fixtures get back to normal.

I have tried my best to be realistic and fair, not accounted for any new signings but taken our performance, including goal problems into account.

I have us mid table with a good points cushion by then and now expect that top ten finish, why, well yes the MON factor but a belief that he would not have come and Short would not have brought him unless money was available to strengthen in January. We also have Campbell coming back so to me the future is still dangerous but looking good.

Mind you I am crap each week with Argus and his predictor.

Id take your hand off for mid table mid Jan. I think if we beat qpr they might start to wobble big style and wed give ourselves a little cushion.
Call me crazy but Blackburn vs Bolton is the biggest game of the year so far, if that ends a draw I think they are both doomed. That would be two places sorted.

    Stop his drink!! haha

I think you might struggle but the gap between mid table and the bottom 3 is minimal. Looking at games between now and then obviously QPR will be no rollover at home. Then Everton are always a tough side to beat. Man City you might aswell write off as a defeat. Anything from them is a bonus this season. Wigan away is winnable but Martinez has them scrapping as shown against Chelsea. That leaves Chelsea away, can't see anything from that. I think to achieve your wish Syd, you need to beat QPR, Everton and Wigan. Possible but no certainty.

The problem of course with just looking at our games is you take no account of other teams, their results play a big part. Yes need wins and no it wont be easy, that said I can see good signs and stick by mid table mid January

I think its optimistic but not impossible. We seem to do strangely well against Chelsea and Man City so you never know, although I would chalk them both down as 0 points. We have a terrible record against Everton though so a win against them would really lift confidence.

I think a top 10 finish is possible but a lot depends on signings and injuries. I think 12/13th with a decent cup run will be what will happen.

Hope you are right Syd, but being the eternal pessimist, that I am, I think not, unless we find a goal scorer,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and quickly.
