Uefa have charged Celtic with "the displaying of an offensive banner and setting off of fireworks by fans" during Thursday's match with Udinese.

The incidents during the Europa League Group I match were included in the match delegate's report.

Uefa's Control and Disciplinary Body will hear the case on 26 January.

Celtic have already imposed a lifetime ban on the fan they say was responsible for the banner and assaulting a steward at the Stadio Friuli. Last week, Celtic decided not to appeal against the £12,700 Uefa fine for "illicit chanting" by some of their fans in the earlier Group I game against Rennes at Celtic Park.

Well it is good to know that it is likely that The Celtic board will be able to afford to pay any fine imposed.
It was inevitable that UEFA would attempt to charge and fine Celtic as soon as possible after the Board so demure accepted the
    fine for alleged ill-legal chanting.A
I may be wrong but I thought one of the duties of the board was to look after the fan safety and protection. I also where the SFA
are in danger of been thrown out of FIFA for SION using one of the arms of the Swiss Government to involve itself in decision making
in Swiss Football. Surely UEFA allowed an arm of the Scottish government to interfere without challenge in the running of UEFA football.
Our board disgracefully stood back and allowed it to happen.

Don't get me wrong I'm glad its you lot in the spot light this time round (about bloody time if you ask me) but i can't see you getting rid of these so called supporters (Groin Bridgade) not any decade soon that's for sure.

Shame really if both clubs could identify and get rid of these ****ing eejits Scottish football would be a lot better.

superhoops you claim the board is supposed to protect fans who attack stewards and unveil abusive banners? no i believe that's the italian polices job to deal with such fannys.

    No, they don't.

They're far too busy trying to track you down after you gave Blatter knobmink after a gammy just off Manningham Lane.

I don't normally criticise mistakes in spelling or grammar, but having read this with it's juxtaposition of high level bawbaggery, inane drivel and random words - eg "I also where the SFA" - means that this is on an epic scale of pish even for you, SH. I mean "ill-legal chanting.A"

As for the point(s) you might have made in that concoction of literal diahorrea, I agree with Dev - whit?

    Job well done<ok>
