Meh - I still don't see any prediction of a ridiculous scoreline mate just someone saying that we should be looking to go for three points from other mid-table teams, especially newly-pronoted ones. People say it about us all the time and until MON came on board a lot of you would have had it as a banker given our form. QPR999 just seems like one of those nuggets that looks for an insult where none exists to justify their own vitriol.
For me if we play like we did against ManU then Sunderland will beat us. Thats why i was 'harping on' about drawing at home to Newcastle,Blackburn and WBA (really we needed to win those games) because now we are under pressure to win. I watched Sunderland play at Norwich and was surprised how they lost with that team? They have some good players that were lacking spirit and sadly i think they have now got it back under the new manager. Both teams need the points and will be worried about making mistakes, so i see a scrapy game.
Quick question Ellers matey, I was wondering why you have a Sunderland shirt as your Avatar? I didn't think it was that lovely!!
Each week i change the top to whoever we are playing. I did have a picture of your home top but as you are playing away i thought it would be apt.
Used to live in West London and often went to the ground, especially in the 70s when QPR nearly won the league, good old Stan Bowles falling over for a pen at least once a game. Then I recall the artificial pitch, I even knew the dodgy gezzer that put it in, it was well bouncy. I was also a rugby fan and went to watch Wasps at Loftus road. However Wednesday, we are generally not a bad side but lack decent (or any strikers) this time last season we had Bent, Gyan and Welbeck (Ahh happy days) and would have said then a win or draw for us was probable. We are hard to score against but do not score many goals. it is a myth that Larsson is good at free kicks, therefore it is OK to foul our players around or just outside your pen area as there is not a chance we will score, (I might be fibbing a bit there). The MoN bounce is still about he is abetter manager than Bruce, but he is not that good a magician he can conjure a striker out of the air. However we have some attacking midfielders that can score, if we get 2 up we will win is my guess, as we can defend. You will probably have to score 2 or 3 goals to get a result. I am not that sure how prolific in front of goal QPR are these days.
