Have to say these were the only two for me that had a good game today. Both good signings IMO.

You have forgotten Cerny, of course. I would also say that Mackie worked hard and had Evra in trouble at times, especially in the first half. Faurlin saw a lot of the ball but lacked the creative spark that we desperately need. Helgusson did well in the first half as well.

Cerny was great other than for the Carrick goal! Barton was pants :( thought Adel looked decent when he came on...

No. Cerney did not have a good game today. His kicking was awful , goal number one. The positioning for the second goal was terrible and the way he flapped at that corner was almost schoolboy like. I think he is ****e.

Also have to say mackie is our most over rated player. Headless chicken springs to mind . His final ball is shocking and has not scored in his last 28 appearances. He runs a lot and that is about it. I know People won't like this but is living off his start to last season.

Considering he is our 3rd choice goalkeeper and I for one was dreading the Liverpool and Man U games with him, think he has done very well and has exceeded my expectations. Long may it continue. Pat on the back for Cerny.

1point and no clean sheets. Why would you want that to continue. Did you not see the way he flapped at that corner?

Traore's a left winger and our best crosser by far. Worries me as full back - unlike Young' who's the best we've had for yonks.

I think you'll find he scored 12 appearances back vs Swansea.

How can you be slating Cerny he made a number of great saves and one absolute worldy. Yes he should have done better with Carricks but that was one of those where if he saves it, it's a great stop but if it goes in he could've done better. He flapped at one corner....really. On the basis of his last two performances you pick up on that.

Also we've always known his kickings not been great.

He's our third choice keeper. It's almost like you're expecting him to perform miracles which he has done. Stop moaning.

Also thought Connolly bar that one header was very solid along with Young and Traore.

Faurlin and Barton both had mares but forgive and forget. Bring on Sunderland.

Our defensive (Fernandes) signings have been good - Traore, Young, Ferdinand.

Barton and SWP - hugely disappointing. One could argue that Barton's influence has been hugely negative.

The BBC report on the game says Cerny was "outstanding", so my assessment is in good company, although it concedes he could have done better with the second goal. I couldn't see that from my position in the ground. Where were you sitting - at home? :)

I agree that the signings of messrs Ferdinand, Traore and (particularly) Young can be adjudged qualified successes. But Wright-Phillips seems well past his sell-by date. Barton has been hugely, hugely disappointing. Despite being one of the large group that didn't want him at our club in the first place, it nevertheless gives me little pleasure to say that. I would much rather he was producing performances that rammed my opposition to his joining QPR down my throat... but this is clearly not the case.

My only gripe about SW is he does'nt take players on when he was playing for england i hoped he would'nt get picked for that same reason.

I was in r block where I always am and in perfect position to see his **** clearance that lead us to being 1-0 down in 50 secs and game effectively over, yeah great bit of keeping. And have you seen the **** flap or poor positioning for number 2. Shocking.

APologies, did not remember that one. Will hold my hands up 1 in 28. Prolific. It's just his all round game is not that good in my opinion. Head always down and running into full backs. Wins the odd corner and there seems to be euphoria. Just don't see much of an end product or worse still the likelihood of being one. 10 out of 10 for effort but that's it for me.

Traore can not defend a number of times he got beat by a man then just stood still and watched! also will will be losing him for the aficans cup of nations which will be a big blow.
