Ward has said that Bute needs to beat a contender (I don't know where his destruction of Johnson rates). I think Bute would beat Froch but it would be a cracker that they could both benefit from.

It's a bit predictable that a few so called boxing fans now proclaim Froch to only ever have been average because he's lost to Ward. Do you only need to be average to hold the WBC title twice? No, Froch is a very good fighter, no one at domestic or european level could live with him, but as we know, world level is like stepping up from playing in the Premier League to playing international football at the world cup, a huge difference.
We should at least give kudos to Froch for often travelling to take on the best, we're so quick to criticise fighters for avoiding people, yet with Froch that is still not enough.
His lack of speed was always going to be a hindrance, but he makes the best of what he has, and I still look forward to his next fight.

Froch was ****ing awful until the last 2 rounds, when he realised he needed a KO, but he also earlier stated on VT, that he would never be knocked out, so with the confidence that your opponent cannot knock you out, why was he so ****ing garbage?

Nobody has ever had a tougher run in the history of the sport. It goes back a long way. Probably to the Jean Pachal fight and Maybe even further back to a fading Robin Reid (I have no idea if the previously unbeaten Rybacki was any good or not). Losses sting a figter in the eyes of the public, but he lost to a fabulous fighter last night. No shame at all in it. The other loss to Kessler was close. The Dirrell fight has been spoken of as a robbery. It wasn't. Dirrell tried to steal the belts and failed.

Bute is a big fight and a chance to become a 3 time champ. Have the fight in Canadia and make a mint off the back of it. The canadians turned on to Froch in a big way after the Paschal match.

Because he couldn't get close enough and he couldn't work on the inside at all.

The American judge gave the last 2 to Ward, so maybe if he'd stayed being "****" he be better off.
