1) Handball - Should have been a Penalty - Could have given us a point. 2) FOUR CENTRE BACKS. 3) 2) means we can't play all our Centre Backs in their proper positions. 4) That was the hardest league game of the season, and we almost nicked a point. NOW STOP COMPLAINING.
City are very hard to beat at home... we came within a whisker of snatching something here. I honestly can't fault the guys' endeavour today. Very excited about the way we matched them for the most part (Man U, Spuds, anyone?). We need more strikers though. We were not at all clinical and we cannot rely on RVP.
With Gervinho going to the ACON, I think we're going to be light up top. Arshavin is not delivering anything anywhere near acceptable, Park is an unknown really but hasn't really showed much yet. I think Wenger will be tempted to sign a forward if one becomes available in January, I think we'll need another option too.
That is absolute bollocks mate. None of us like losing, but most of us don't make idiots out of ourselves when we do.
8-2 is a bit different to 1-0 mate. A 1-0 where we were denied an obvious penalty, played with 4 centre backs, and were away to the team that is currently top of the league. We still have passion, we're just not ****ing idiots.
Calm down. Your arguments would be slightly more credible if you stopped feeling the need to post Capital letters every few seconds. What about on the right then? Neither Jenkinson nor Sagna could be described as injury-prone. If we bought a third defender in either of these positions they'd get angry because their options would be limited and so cause more stress in the dressing room.
Will you or will you not put your hand up and say all right, if I spell checked my posts before I mashed the reply button, people would take my points more seriously?
Jenkinson is pretty classy for his age. He deserves the opportunities. He's a big gooner, and certainly a more cultured one than you. I have no doubt that if I trawled through your post history I could find you screaming for Wenger to sell that old useless crock Van Persie. Santos could have just as easily been injured 1 minute into play today. Wenger played Santos and Vermaelen because both needed games to get up to speed. This point was generally accepted before Olympiacos and it's only numpties like you who come out and get virulently angry at Wenger for playing a player in a football match. It's not like we're putting out Arshavin at CB vs Stoke now is it? Get over yourself. We lost because we got unlucky against a team which puts in £100m every transfer window. We did ourselves proud, especially compared to say United, who lost 6-1 there. The 8-2 you mentioned is long behind us now and you need to realise that this loss is only going to be a blip on our record sheet.
A kiss is just a kiss, a sigh is just a sigh. The fundamental things apply As time goes by. please log in to view this image I think why that just came into my head
We weren't expected to get anything today but we did play very well and we do have a lot of players to come back, what is annoying though is that chelsea slipped up yesterday and spurs only just got the victory today but we couldn't get anything from the game, at least spurs and chelsea will be able to take something off each other on thursday but we need to get 3 points against villa.
I didnt watch the game but i can see both sides of the argument. If the loss was unlucky then fair enough. This still leaves a bitter taste though because lots of people saw the squad erosion taking place and Wenger did nothing about it. Squad issues is his responsibility, as is his over reliance on RVP. I predict draws and losses if we lose him. Anf dont give me that City spend millions bollox, if Wenger hadnt pissed around with our squad we wouldnt be having this discussion BUT, a loss to City isnt the worst thing in the world. Lets bounce back, we are not too far from where we need to be, plenty of twists and turns to come.
hothead - you missed a cracking game. Considering our constant squad issues - we took it to them. Our usual dopey defence was terrific and needed to be! Wing play was squeezed out - Walcott kept invisible and geronimo dangerous until he released the ball - then poor as usual. So you might guess - RVP had little to work with.
From a Liverpool fan, I thought you played a great game yesterday. City probably shaded it but you deserved at least a goal. RVP, Song, Vermaelen and (when he's back) Wilshere will provide a really good spine for you. Defensively you weren't the horror show of August/September either, even with the makeshift defence. You have to be optimistic now surely?
Bergie .. nice one. I don't have Sky Sports so I recorded MOTD2, gonna watch it tonight, I was busy going to 3 clubs yesterday, each one as **** as the other LOL. Bah humbug. I can't say I am surprised or too upset that we lost, I think City were unlucky to lose to Chelsea, the first half they were magnificent. To be honest I place greater value on our victory against Everton, its those sort of tough games that will define our season, not games against the top 4.
