    Super Cup is/was normally played on a friday evening.So guessing perhaps 2005/2006?

    No idea, might have been one on a boxing day/xmas fixture sometime recently. Our one vs Newcastle at the end of this month is on a Friday also.

    the cristmas schedule is actually not too big a deal IMO, the games are actually well spaced out. effectively from the 30ths its like playing sat/weds/sat, just a day off it so its not a probelm from my point of view given the timing... (a holiday period)

    now i can see others will be put out by the timing due to work, thats going to happen.

    on the other hand city play sunderland away on the 1st jan and then have to play US 2 days later at eastlands so that afftects them badly. as its worked out i'll take that in a heart beat.

    Hopefully we can take advantage of our two extra days rest over City, out of all those games this is by far the biggest fixture.
