Isn't it the refs fault for not making the decision earlier?

I would imagine so, from the clubs social media post it sounds like we didn’t want it to be postponed.

That said. Areas around the pitch could have been covered, those pitch light could have been wheeled out this morning. I’m sure a club that can afford to pay one member of staff the average yearly salary for a weeks work could have cooked something up to ensure the whole stadium was free of ice.

Just spunked 2.85 on a coffee , fuming
Couldn't you have just flung it on the pitch, along with a couple of hundred others, caused a thaw and kept the game on?

I feel for anyone, near or far,who has travelled to that game today.I wonder how many of our own fans who made the effort to go today are delighted it's off as we 'might ' have a better chance of winning in the re-arranged match?

I'm guessing very few!!!

Was running a bit late, got the car into first gear, waited for a pedestrian to pass the end of the drive and Humberside commentators were saying it was looking to them like the match would be off. Turned off engine and returned to house. Really feel for anyone that travelled further than the end of the drive!

Am very interested in knowing whose decision it was to call it off at such a ridiculously late point. At this point the only thing we can definitely blame SMC for is not extending the under pitch heating to the bits where the linos run up and down.

Ref told them ages ago which is why they had a blow torch on the edge of the pitch at 2pm
