Difficult game for us today, and I would gladly settle for a draw now if it was offered.... However, if we were to win today, I dare bet that the majority of Spurs fans will be on here blaming the ref etc... It would be very nice if my theory is put to the test.
The estate is still there and one of the original riot leaders is now a community leader with an OBE.
No Bale or Defoe... Starting: Friedel; Walker; King; Gallas; Assou-Ekotto; Lennon; Parker; Modric; Sandro; Van der Vaart; Adebayor. Bench: Cudicini; Rose; Bassong; Livermore; Pienaar; Kranjcar; Pavlyuchenko I assume Modric will be on the left but VDV may drop to the right with Lennon on the left. Any idea of the Sunderland team yet?
Sunderland: Westwood, O'Shea (C), Bardsley, Brown, Bramble, Richardson, Larsson, Colback, Vaughan, Sessegnon, Wickham. Subs: Cattermole, Gardner, Elmohamady, Bendtner, McClean, Dong-won, Carson.
If we fail to win this then we will struggle to finish in the top 3, these games at home against lesser opposition (with mediocre quality) are the games we have to win if we want to be taken serious as a top 3 team.
Obviously the spuds are favourites but you never know, if the attitude of the spuds players is the same as the fans they will be coming out expecting to win easily and just perhaps we can upset the 'apples and pears' or whatever cart.
Our line-up's a little unusual, with no Bale and limited striking options, so you never know. Redknapp's got some important decisions to make.
I'd love to see their boat races is we did. Then we'd see bally jerry dickie berdie for sure especially if there were cabbage crates crossing the briney
I've got an apple on us winning, if that helps? If Richardson is in midfield, who's left back? O'Shea's probably played there the most but I can't see Brown being trusted at centre back.
