Morgan has done absoloutely nothing so far, but I hesitate to call for De Ridder to come on. Mattock and Lawrence could do some damage on that left side, particularly with putting crosses in, if we replace Morgan with De Ridder.
Crap game. Crap coverage by the BBC (obsessed with close ups) and jerky camerawork. No pace about Saints, agree that Morgan should be replaced by De Ridder pronto. Saints fans too bloody quiet. If you are lucky enough to get a ticket for these games, then you ****ing well get behind the team non-stop, not stand there with your hands in your pockets.
Yeah, it's an option. Another one I guess would be to bring De Ridder on, but to put him through the middle and move Guly out to the right. After all, it's not as if Guly is having a great game himself up front (I did say yesterday that I thought the outcome of the game would depend heavily on which Guly turns up).
Guly's ineffectual. Whether that's from no service to him or himself I'm not totally sure. De Ridder and Holmes on at some point.
Seemed very even in the first half. Slight advantage to Southampton in posession and slight advantage to Pompey on chances - had the best chances but didn't take them, which is always a worry - Lambert's been rather quiet and that's a worry as well.
I might be wearing red and white-tinted specs but that commentary is ridiculously biased towards the skates.
