I think Lennon should concentrate on whats happening on the pitch and not be drawn into the media hype about these matters. Strachan, for all his supposed faults, would have spoken only about the game. Lennon says all the talk is about the fans and not the display by the players then does exactly the same thing. I am making no comment as to the rights or wrongs of the fans actions and think Lennon should have done the same.

No, I know what "hype" means so maybe you in your wisdom can explain how it was hyped up? Give me some examples of the "hype". Was the story blown out of proportion? Did they give coverage to a story that really was nothing more than a storm in a tea cup? I consider the behaviour of the banner mob and the flare throwers to be pathetic and stupid given the recent furore over illicit chanting, and whilst I am no fan of the chip wrappers it was a story worthy of any coverage they gave it. Don't go blaming the media for the actions of a few cretins and don't try and suggest that the media should ignore an act of wanton stupidity. Yes it was blown out of proportion, Southampton fans let a flare off at their game today and chanted "you fat b***ard" at an opposition player, lets sit back and watch the coverage it gets. If Lennon does not concentrate on whats happening on the pitch we wont have to worry about europe. I did not comment on the rights or wrongs of the "incidents" and have no intention of doing so. I stick by my original post saying Lennon should have done the same.
Why should Lennon have done the same? You would deny him the freedom of speech you so gladly allow others? ps I don't care about Southhampton but I suspect you may be right, it will probably get little coverage in the Scottish press, what a shock eh?

You have a full 89 posts on this forum, all made since you joined long ago in the halcyon days of June 2011, whereas I have been a member of this forum for the better part of 4 years, during which time I have given my opinion and written numerous threads on Rangers and their fans (mostly critical) so I suggest you keep your powder dry until you come armed with all the facts because you simply do not know what you are talking about. I will continue to criticise and moan and gripe about the element of our fanbase which I find unpalatable, I will likewise continue to "belittle" who I like when I like and if you don't like it then you know what to do.
