    Nope but remember the match as for then Best said he would never play for Utd again and the football world was shocked ... Many lads as school were crying ... I even threw my plastic stylo matchmakers away as George Best was to many 'Mr Football' and United were down ... We finished 8th! With 43 points I just looked up

    Nutts....I fear you're way off the mark with your assessment of the current Utd side. IMO whoever finishes above Utd will win the league. I can't see Arsenal or Chelsea finishing above them!! They still look a very good side.

    i was at that game on new years day 1974-it was bitterly cold with snow swirling round and i came back from a party in brighton with a rotten hangover-my girlfriend gave me the elbow because i got up early to hitchike back for the game without telling her- we were packed like sardines in the loft and the noise was deafening - we completely outclassed man utd and stan rang rings round donkey buchan on the frosty pitch-among my top ten matches-

    Tra Mor, I was at Tramore GC a few weeks back having a lovely pint after a round of golf (no frost - just howling wind and rain!). Utd were on the box when we got back in - seems you have a load of MU fans in that Golf Club who need shutting up! So, forget your 9 holes and get a nice pint in ya. Rs Abu!!
