This fight is getting close now and its clear that the two fighters donât like each other, this should therefore be an interesting final to watch. Froch is not as technically gifted as Ward but has a great chin, hits hard and is incredibly strong which means that he can physically impose himself on Ward. Froch could pressure Ward and keep him on the back foot and if he can sustain that pressure then it is possible that he will stop Ward. Ward on the other hand is very fast and slick as a fighter and ive yet to see him really get hurt by an opponent in the ring. One of his main strong points are his fast combinations and the ability to move out of the rage of his opponents. I personally think Ward will outbox Froch and get a points win but hopefully Froch proves me wrong and wins by stoppage he has the power to hurt him and if he sets a high pace then he has a good chance of catching Ward. Ward on the other hand is very unlikely to hurt Froch given Froch's chin and Wards lack of power. One final thing to point out is that Ward can be a dirty fighter and is known to use his head (think Peterson vs Khan but to a greater extent), he used this tactic against Kessler and Froch has already mentioned this in a recent interview so hopefully the ref can keep an eye out for this. So what does everyone else think about the outcome and who do you personally want to win.
I think Ward is a very special talent and I reckon he'll take it on points with great ease. I like Froch and he's made a liar out of me more than once. I have said it a couple of times that I'll never doubt him again...... I'm going back on my word. I'd like to be wrong.
Really want Froch to win, he won me over after the Kessler fight. I am just unsure if he can do it though, Ward will try stay out of a brawl, and when he comes in he will make sure he hits as hard as he can with his head.
froch has height and reach aswell he will win they both putting belts on the line ,ding ding lets have it
I am praying Froch wins, love the guy. Ward is terrific and this will be a big test for Froch. C'mon Carl!
So Ward wins with ease in the end. I gave Froch 3 rounds at best. **** knows where two of the judges got 115-113 from.
I don't think he was that bad mate, Froch put up a good fight and showed he's a soldier and fought like a warrior, Ward just has a lot more ability and natural class. I call it 116-112!
Sometimes you simply have to appreciate just how good a boxer really is - I hadn't seen a great deal of Andre Ward but i've seen enough to know now that he is far & away the best in the super-middleweight division. Pure class, although it wasn't much fun watching Carl getting schooled, you can't take anything away from a truly great, unified champion.
Imagine he had more of a dig? Watching Calzaghe figure out Kessler was something. Watching Ward just get to work against Kessler and have it already figured out blew me away. Completely taking the game away from Froch from the first bell confirmed it for me. A p4p performance.
