    Instead of the negative tactics from the Bruce regime,why do we not try something different that worked a few years ago??A big target man,Wickham,with Noble....a bit like Quinn and Phillips in the past???It will be different from our recent games,but it worked before being positive!!

    I wouldnt really say it was big and little though.

    Quinn = 6 ft 4" Phillips = 5 Ft 7"

    Whickam = 6 ft 3" Noble = 6ft 0"

    F Campbell will be the small one for me, 5 ft 8"

    as a strike force then why not, but i dont think it will be like Quinn/Phillips.

    While I agree about being positive, I don't think it's the right game to start Noble, this is a difficult game and we don't want his confidence shattered. (I guess this goes for McClean to). It would have been ideal to play him against fulham Wigan or Blackburn where surely he may have got a goal and where the crowd would have been right behind him. I'd use him and McClean as impact subs for this game.

    I've said this before but I'd go Wickham and Bendtner up front, two big lads will cause them problems just because of their physicallity and we saw at Stoke last week spurs couldn't deal to well with it, not to mention the fact that kaboul is banned (he is dominant in the air for them) so they will be playing gallas (not the tallest) with either king or bassong. Think we need to get crosses in and start attacking them so that means larsson could again be vital.

    I know that Noble is tall,but he is slight..Bruce used to say that he was not big enough for the premiership..but he is a goalscorer,so it might work....why play Bendtner instead of Noble???One is ours,the other is a car vandalising Arsenal player!!

    that quote reminds me of last year, Why play Welbeck instead of Gyan (one is ours one isnt), after a few games, the same posters didnt want Welbeck dropped.

    I admit Bendtner hasnt set the world alight for us yet, but neither has Noble (just in the reserves) and lets be honest, Bendtner has a lot more experience and "should" be a better all round player than Noble.

    but its still not big and little though lol

    I'm pretty sure MON will put teams out to suit the situation.
    I can't see him playing with no strikers in any match, never mind one that on paper should have been an easy win.
    For the first time in years, I'm confident the man in charge knows his job and has a plan B.

    In response,Blackcatsteve,what do you define as little and large??Wickham is a big strong lad,and Noble is slight...little and large,as in weight!!!

    I have a feeling that these two are going to be great for us sooner rather than later: particularly if Maclean can carry on from what he showed in the Blackburn game when he came on and create chances for them..

    6ft isnt little 5ft 7 or 8 is little.

    6ft isnt large either 6ft 3 4 is large

    I just cant picture Noble/Whickam/Ji/Bendner (any combination) as being a big/little partnership like Quinn/Phillips im afraid. Stick Campbell in there with one of them, and i can.

    Can we not let MoN settle in first, watch, then make our minds up, let the bloke settle in first, although I feel the point may be valid, I also feel its a tad premature.

    Yeah, me too. If MON was another Bruce why the hell bother employing him.

    Not true mate. I argued that a loanee should not be played over one of ours and stick to that 100%.

    Welbeck was canny but I'd have played Gyan everytime.

    Likewise, I'd play Wickham over Bendtner everytime. I certainly wouldn't piss our own player off to accommdate a loaned player, especially one that cares so little about being here he makes himself and our club look like total dicks.

    Had my doubts about Bendtner from the off but, after a couple on here and a Gooner tried to bring me round to him being good I was willing to give him a shout. Should have stuck to my original opinion never mind, got to disagree with you Cest about playing loanees over our own. If the loanee is doing better then why not? it's up to our player to prove he is worthy of his place over the loanee and not get into the team automatically. We are not a big enough team to carry players who think they are good we need good players who are good and, if they are good then there would be no need for the loanees.
