I predict a 3-0 win for us, were due a penalty or 3 , as thats the only way i can see us scoring, unless i meet a spurs lass
that will do me Syd as long as her dad owns a pub, boat, and holiday villa, oh and shes a sex maniac, and loves to spend money on a ravishingly handsome chap like me
How did we lose Tottenham: Robinson, Chimbonda, Gardner, Stalteri, Kaboul, Jenas, Zokora (Huddlestone 87), Malbranque, Tainio (Bent 59), Berbatov (Defoe 77), Keane. Subs Not Used: Cerny, Rocha. Aah that'll be it. 3 Right backs in defence (Kaboul was at the time) and Gardner . All that creativity in midfield as well!
Fair comments HD, but look at Sunderland's team Gordon, Whitehead, Nosworthy, McShane, Wallace, Edwards, Etuhu, Yorke (Miller 57), Richardson (Collins 72), Murphy, Stokes (Chopra 72). Subs Not Used: Ward, Connolly. Not exactly brimming with creativity and attacking flair either. I'm afraid it was one of those days, where as so often we went 'oop Norf', dropped our bollocks, and didn't fight for it hard enough. Decided to settle for a draw, and got mugged in the last minute. Jol may take some of the blame for his selections and our attitude, but many of our managers have seen similar failings from our teams over the years. Funnily enough Sunderland were so 'impressed' by our midfield they bought Tainio and Steed, and IIRC, would have taken Kaboul as well, but he turned them down.
I'm hoping we won't get spanked, I worry about Bale v O'Shea , O'Shea has been rubbishand could get ripped to bits with his lack of pace. May have to stick Bardo on the right? I think it will be one up front for us and I do think we will struggle. It will be interesting to see what O'Neill does? Will he stick with Wickham who isn't fully fit yet or bring back Bendtner who has been Ghastly this season. Where will Ricco play this week......find out Sunday I guess
Should be a doddle this one... I mean apart from VdV, Modric, Bale, Defoe, Adebayor, Lennon, Parker, Walker, who can cause us a problem?
O'Shea was ripped apart by Fulham, Wigan and Wolves so dont see why you should be pesimistic about Bale

Just been checking my accounts. And find I haven't risked any of my own money as yet. Don't want to change our luck by me not doing so. So have just took 16/1 at £10 for us to be winning half time and full time. And £10 at 10/1 for Whickham to get that early goal.
Talking to a Cardiff fan in their supporters club before the game there in 1978, he said to me..."What's up between you and spurs? We were down there not so long ago and painted on the wall outside it says "Sunderland Will Die, April 78". I went to WHL for our game there a few weeks later and it turned out to be the scariest match I've ever been to....was ****tin' bricks all the way from the seven sisters tube station to the ground! Once in, everything was fine, as there was our usual big turnout, and we had the end of the ground to ourselves. However...the policing inside the ground was abysmal at best, culminating in hundreds of spurs fans casually entering our end via both sides of the ground. Well...as you can imagine...all hell broke out at half time until the law managed to restore order! Me and me mates left 15 minutes before the end....but still got chased all the way back to the seven sisters...just managing to escape with our lives! Ahh....happy days!!
Hi Davros, it was that era, it was scary. I went up north loads of times in the 70s, generally speaking I was petrified from the time we got near the ground to the time we got away.
yeah....I know what you mean!! I think the backlash at your place was down to the fact that fighting broke out in the stands at Roker Park, and quite a few spurs fans ran onto the pitch to escape the mayhem....all of it witnessed by the MOTD cameras!!
I'd personally take a draw now not that it's much use to us as it's wins we need. Last time I was at the lane was when the Broadwater Farm riots had been on, 85 if I reacall. Is that estate still there?
Ah the Met police in the 70s everyone of them perfect gentlemen. Only time in my life I got blind sided was by one of the bastards. Wasn't even any bother at the time we were just being asked to move along.
