I'm doing very well atm, 2014/15 sitting 8th with 4 games to go, could finish 4th, and in fa cup final, playing man u. i cant wait to get home from work today and win the fa cup. lol sad really !!!
Help! I have Billy Sharp and Rickie Lambert as my forwards. Unrealistically, they aren't scoring... And more unrealistically Schneidrlin is my top scorer! Regarding forwards who should play on which side and what should their roles be?!? Need help!
I accepted a job offer from Real Madrid. Left Saints in a good position. In my last season with Saints won Euro Cup, FA Cup and League Cup and finished 4th in the league. I got £390million transfer budget at Madrid!!!
You be ashamed of yourself haha. I got offered that job after doing almost exactly the same as you (only difference is that I won the Community Shield that season, as opposed to the League Cup), but I said no. Couldn't do it - even if I am completely hitting a brick in wall with Saints in terms of breaking into the top 3 and being realistic title challengers.
I think I am gonna start again with Saints. Shanghai Shenhua are going nowhere very fast (and I don't have Anelka).
A role that can be assigned to forwards or attacking midfielders. They basically just roam around looking for space and moving into channels, and they don't track back a lot. It's a good way to link midfield to attack if you play short passes. Similar to a deep lying forward but they get more scoring chances. Francesco Totti is a good example. I haven't done much on my Saints save, but Lambert has 7 goals in 10 games for me, including a stunning 40-yarder. He's equally suitable as a target man, but that role better suits long balls and floated crosses, and his passing, technique and long shots would be wasted.
How have the four main prospects done for you lot? (JWP, Shaw, Sinclair and Stephens). Shaw is second choice for me now, JWP is third choice behind Spider and Cork, Stephens is really challenging Simpson for RB and Sinclair is sat in my reserves.
None of them made it for me. JWP never quite slotted in how I wanted him to despite several opportunities and the rest failed to impress and progress during several loan spells.
Shaw is currently wanted by Barcelona and Arsenal, just about holding on to him, his wage rises every transfer window .
Ward-Prowse and Stephens havnt really taken off. Shaw is occasionaly in my team, mostly for cup matches. Sinclair is one of 3 good young strikers ive got coming through but he makes the odd appearence.
Shaw is great for me. 1st choice LB for me, 1st choice LB for England, and wanted by various big name European clubs. The other three however just never progressed. JWP now plays in L1/L2 for Stevenage, and I think the other two play non-league football.
