No problems at home, but who the hell will play? Predicting a Newcastle line up is contrary to popular belief, very difficult.

Tino being injured is a concern. I assume Jacob will be right back or maybe Miley again but Chelsea are a bit pacier than most clubs.

This will be a tight game but think we'll edge it by 3 goals
When we have these episodes of injuries to numerous players in the same role (currently it's our full backs - again) I'd like to see Eddie put more faith in the younger lads like Murphy & Shahar. Play people in their natural positions, rather than keeping the same staters but shuffling which position they play in. Give the younger lads a chance to shine by starting them. It's the best way for them to develop.

I've been asking for Alex Murphy to pay for ages. Yesterday I think he played his way in to contention of being back up and maybe even starting if Hall isn't fit

No coincidence that our full backs, in this horrid 451, are being asked to cover as much pitch as a wing back. It’s really confused and puts such a burden on them. This formation isn’t working at all, and it’s injuring our best players. It surprises me Howe isn’t smart enough to see it.

As always difficult to predict - we’re either going to click at some point or get a hiding.

Apparently Rory Jennings is some failed actor who now gobs off about Chelsea online. What a guy.

We have a good chance here, with Wissa coming into form as Nick dropped off a bit. Can they both play together? Maybe.

Is murphy ready for the premier league? The issue we've got is do we play someone out of their natural position and maybe watch them get crucified, or do we play a youth player in their natural position and maybe watch them get crucified.

It's chelsea after all, proper Jekyll and hyde team.

You make a very good point.

My vote is to play Chaos(Munson) at full back and watch him get crucified.
<cheers>

I thought you said we only ever played 4.3.3 ?

The answer is yes. Will he make mistakes? Of course he will but then so does Bruno, Tonali, Thiaw, Hall etc

Thought he looked decent, in a difficult match. Way better than Burn has there. Makes me wonder are the likes of Harrison, Sanusi, Neave actualy good enough to be getting more game time. Howe seems so scared and the more scared he gets, the more he retreats into familiarity. Wouldn’t hate it if he was a bit more bold with these players.

Not convinced with Harrison. Neave looks good. Sanusi sadly on loan got an injury so hasn't really played.

Going berserk with the kids is pure Ardiles. Miley has made it into the first team, but everyone else still has to prove themselves. Harrison isn't anywhere near yet, if he ever will be.
