Saints kick off on Saturday early doors on the next phase of the Tondalution. Live on Sky/NowTV and illegal sources.

Will we do 4 on the bounce at home?
Will be bounce back from an annoying away defeat by the Canaries?
Will we stop the Coventry juggernaut?

Will we repeat 28th April 1984? (8-2, Moran & Wallace Hat trick)

All will be revealed over the next few pages of the wonderful and balanced Not606 discussion......

I have a bad feeling that Fellows is still going to be out for this. We won't be able to get away with our regulation insipid second half either.

I'll predict the obligatory 0-0 (which I assume I'll get right one day but not this weekend) and avoid any actual predictions I want to state.

We should be able to put out our best team which at the moment I think is

Bazunu
THB, Stephens, Wood
Fellows* Jander, Downes, Manning*
Azaz Armstrong Scienza

Just need everyone to put in the effort.

* Assume they are just told to roam the wings so no idea if it's 5-2-3 or 3-4-3 or 3-2-5 (or all of them)

If he was trying to be ready for Norwich he'll be fine for Saturday.

But you don't know how honest information is regarding injuries, not to mention recovery from injuries isn't a linear process. I doubt he was ever in contention for Norwich really but they wanted to keep Norwich guessing (that worked well). They've not come out and said he'll be available for Cov, just that they hope he will be. I very much hope he is of course, I just have a bad feeling that he'll be out a few weeks yet.

No chance of anything from this match. If we can’t turn over a struggling Norwich, then we aren’t going to halt a flying Coventry. We will go full on Russball, having 70% possession while not leaving our own half.

This is flawed logic. Coventry will be more open than Norwich, which will suit us, giving Leo, Azaz and Armstrong more space. If Fellows is back they won't be able to double up on Leo either. Plus we've been strong at home lately.

Let's not go overboard, he picked up a knock, not something that usually results in a 3 or 4 week absence.

Yeah I fear this too. Lost count of the amount of times we've had what seems like minor injuries who are then out for at least a month.

Can see it being like the other games where we get a big first half lead then chill for the second half. Whether Cov can go one better than WBA and get at least a point after battering us for the second half remains to be seen

I'm hoping another week of working with them improves them just a little bit more.

Take into account a couple of months ago we'd have been having this thread talking about how we have zero chance of beating them and we're going down.

We're a team in an upward progress now and we'll stumble on the way but we'll be in and around the playoffs come the end of the season on the current form and at the end of WS's time we couldn't say that with any confidence.

They were very fortunate to beat Bristol City, and obviously didn't beat Preston or Ipswich before that. But even so, we will have to be significantly better than we've been for the past 1.5 games.

We need to be good for this one
Let’s hope we’re all talking to each other once it’s over (geddit?)

Coventry is not famous for cheese of any sort and is 110 miles from the sea, so not good for fish either

Coventry people have at times done too much, much too young and on occasion indulged in naked equestrianism

If we lose I’m up for the next thread, so there’s a small incentive to win if we need it

Liking the positivity and realism that some would say have no place on this thread of doom.

McCarthy
Fellows THB Stephens Manning
Jander Downes
Scienza Armstrong Azaz

If fellows is out Fraser in.
