One person not supporting him doesn't really affect much, the fact he has millions of fans worldwide makes up for that and the fact he doesn't give a **** anyone says, if he did he woudn't have started the 2011 season and would have been a nervous wreck, the man has balls of carbon fibre and a head made of titanium.
I'm a Schumi fan myself, I think if he thought he wasn't going to be competitive this season then he would have retired. My opinion is he will be in front of Nico most of the time this year, given that the car is designed with him in mind.
Can't say I'm surprised. It seems like every season Alonso has is involved is some sort of controversy with his "team mate". Truth be told, Alonso just hates having a competitive team mate, which is why Ferrari crushed Massa's soul last season.
So given he and Nico have similar styles and preferences, what benefits one benefits the other - how did you come to that conclusion?
Just supposition on my part, but I believe that he is the favoured driver in the team with things swayed in his direction. I don't claim to be an expert on F1 politics so this is a personal opinion!
It's not about politics it's about the fact that what suits Michael will suit Nico. There have been numerous articles about it in reputable publications including autosport.
When Fernando, UNICEF Ambassador and youngest ever double WDC, wins the WDC this season he will be the youngest ever triple WDC. This will be a remarkable achievement for someone who's early years in F1 were wasted in a car with all the competitiveness of a Hillman Imp. Lesser drivers have had the chance to win the WDC in their first seasons by being handed a drive in the top car. Fernando's, UNICEF Ambassador and youngest ever double WDC, achievement is therefore trully astounding. All persons with serious F1 knowledge know this. FACT
