I agree about Mckenna--but what about a mention for Chester-he was immense especially in the 2nd half several clearances from crosses or goal bound clearances
We have so much to thank NP and his backroom team for: Rosenior, Hobbs, Chester, Dudgeon, Evans, McKenna, Stewart, Koren, Fryatt, McLean, etc etc
Don't thank old flat top , thank Steve Walsh. I honestly think he'll be missed ten times more than' laugh along a Nige' ever will.
Nah, Dawson was incredible, at both ends. He met most things that came into our box and made lots of tackles. He was ace.
It didn't need a scout to spot Robert Koren either but Steve Walsh was the main player in bringing him here as well. I remember when we first linked with him , I just laughed at the idea. I don't think people realise that Pearson literally just left Walshy to bring in who he(SW) thought was right for the club. With my limited knowledge I would say that Steve Walsh is the best in his field in this division by some way. Like I said he will be missed.
Daws has been proving people wrong since Peter Taylors time, you're right DJ remember Roland Edge?! He's there for exactly the reasons you say, an older head to complement Mckenna, and his reading of the game helps him make up for his lack of pace, he even nearly scored v Leicester the other week, well done Daws!
Do you think Forests decline started when McKenna was dropped last season? If you look at the games he didn't play in and what happened to Forest it does seem to relate. Glad he's with us, quality pro!
