Eat **** and die Chappaz - My thoughts on the Swansea game

  1. First off - Why the **** have we reverted back to hoofball? Ben Arfa is a better all round player than Best, I know he can be frustrating but the bloke makes fantastic central runs down the pitch and plays one or two sweet short passes a game that can win us 3 pts.

I like Best but if we want to move forward we need HBA started and we need to stop lumping it up to B&B.

IMO Pardew was to blame for our loss. Swansea are a well organized and tidy side, and playing hoofball played right into their hands, Hatem could have changed the game and cut through their defense.

I'm not too gutted. If we drop 2 pts, I would prefer it if it was against good sides that play decent football, not **** sides like Blackburn. Liverpool have dropped these sort of points and they are still fine, we may well do to, but we've just got to keep our heads up and look towards the next game.

I'm pissed off with Cabaye, now he misses the next game, and it was a needless challenge. If we're going to play Abeid and Tiote, we cannot play two target men, we need a central midfield spark like HBA.

    Ratings -

Krul - 6 - Never had to make a save all game.

Simmo - 7 - Good performance and I hope we keep him on. He's no wonder lad, but the guy can defend well and he had a good game today.

    Colo - 8.5 - Class, simple as.

Perch - 7.5 - Apart from in the air, he was good today. You can't knock the lad for trying, and he did well.

Santon - 8 - Very impressed. I was worried that he was just gonna be one of those attacking fullbacks that were good in attack but weak as piss at the back. Well he showed today that how much of a great signing he could be.

Ober - 7 - I thought he had a very good first half, not so good second half but the main reason I was happy with him was his tracking back and work rate. He looked pumped up. Him and Simmo are making a good partnership.

Cabaye - 7.5 - A great effort from a FK in the first minute, some good passing, we well miss him against WBA.

Tiote - 7 - Frustrating as **** at times. He lost possession like he does when coming back from an injury, but he showed a lot of good aggression and the sort of sting that we miss. Hope to christ it was just cramp that made him go off because if both Cabaye and Tiote are out next week we can kiss 3 pts good bye.

Jonas - 7.5 - Not one of his better games, but when he lost the ball he won it back and played well with Davide.

Best - 6.5 - Not a great game, but did well at times.

Ba - 7.5 - Some great efforts, and fantastic work rate and passing.

Shola - 6 - A good chance when he came on. Not bad, he did ok.

Vuckic and Sammy - n/a - Both looked good. Vuckic looks very canny.

MOTM - Coloccini - Captain sexy is back and he was fantastic. I just feel really comfortable when the ball is at his feet. Davide wasn't far behind, He played great today also.

Quite disappointed overall, but not panicking at all. We're still in a good position but we could have done with Stoke losing. Lets hope we get 6pts from our next games and keep the gap between us and Stoke going, because if we take any less that 6pts from our next couple of games, Stoke will over take us as they have two very winnable home games in the same weeks we play Manure and Liverpool.

Next two games are very important.

    HTL

    RIP SPEEDO!

Glad my sticking up for Perch in the week was proved right when everyone else mocked him. All he needed was an experienced CB next to him. Can't believe how many people wanted Simpson at CB earlier this week.

Shola got us a point against Tottenham but how often does he actaully score? I was more the fact he brought Sammy on who ready at all just yet. Ben Arfa could have had a monet of brialliance if he was brought on. I guess Pardew thinks he give the ball away too often, however we could have afforded that chance in the last 30 mins.

You must have been at a different game to me. Obertan and Jonas didn't put in a decent cross between them today. Woeful.

If Swansea had a go at us it could have been a different score.

Have to say I agree with your ratings, except the wingers. I would give Jonas a 6.5 and Obertan a 6.5. The delivery from both of these was terrible!

Obertan put in a great cross right through the middle of the box without a Swansea player in sight, but Ba and Best were too far ahead so it went just behind them.

Perch did well today much better than I thought.

Obertan was crap, he cant put a final ball in.

Santon great to see we have a proper LB, the lad looks class.

Best and Tiote looked knackered but after lay off,it would be expected.

Why Pardew doesnt bring on HBA I have no idea.

Colo's reading of the game and distribution was perfect as always. Best CB in the Country.

Another linesman and ref that had stinkers though.

No cabaye. Ffs it was his first foul man. How many yellows they should have had in the first half???
