1- Crooks 2-Giles 3-I have absolutely no idea not a single bad performance, Slater, Pandur for the save, Ajayi any of them but I think Hughes just about takes 3rd for me
Giles, absolute wand of a left foot and could have had 4 assists tonight. Slater, cracking game dominated the middle and won the physical battle against Moore a few times too Belloumi, so much good went through him first half, had them on toast. Pandur a close 4th, pen save at a crucial time, gyabi had a strong game as did Hughes too, and Millar and McBurnie strengthened us when they came on.
Unfortunately I only got the first half so cannot put my 1,2,3 but I will say Belloumi was my pick of the first half, going forward he looks such a good player and will give nightmares to the opposition for the remainder of the season ( cross fingers he stays fit ) but what impressed me most was he got back to defend. I couldn’t help but think had he and miller stayed fit where could we have ended up last season. Go Mo Go !!!!
So difficult tonight for all the right reasons. Slater - Seemed to be everywhere. Giles - Could have had four assists. Belloumi - On a different level at times in the first half.
Giles. At least 5 sumptuous crosses Crooks. Playing where he needs to be played. Slater. Much better. Harsh on several not to be included, particularly Ajayi, Belloumi, Panda, Hughes.
Giles - crossing was outrageous. Mcburnie would’ve had a hat trick if he’d started the game. Crooks - gave the pen away but otherwise he was the stand out. Hughes - could’ve been Ajayi but I just thought he was marginally better on the ball. Will be quite a variety of selections this time, best team performance for a while.
