That says a lot for the level of the market the club is having to search in. From hoping for Carvalho to this doesn't give you a lot of confidence going forward but it could be just paper talk of course.
I can see why we’re after a #10. We have players who can play there but nobody who is a “specialist” I guess. Weren’t we after Lewis Koumas in the summer but he went to Birmingham? He might get recalled so wonder if we’ll be in for him again.
He spent most of his career as a striker, I don't know when he became an AM but it can't have been that long ago.
He'll be gone in January surely? He's nowhere near good enough for this level. We need to just accept that 9/10 the players who we can currently attract from Turkey are just not good enough.
Haha, not anymore I'm afraid, the players and staff I knew have all left the club now and we have no dealings with the club anymore professionally either. I know literally bugger all!
More a 'second striker' often with Bamford? Mainly used as a sub replacing such as Sinisterra? Been great for us, but hard to categorise. Not an out & out striker / No. 9, not really a winger, not a midfielder and not really the stereotypical No 10. Jack of all trades attacking wise, but maybe closest to a No 10? Maybe that's why Farke doesn't see his future being at Leeds? Back to OP from TigerGaz, maybe we do need a specialist No 10. You would think Serge would know what he's on about, but it does seem odd that a DM isn't top of his list .... unless ..... he knows already that we have Zambrano, and maybe even that other lad at Westerloo, already lined up (and I have a feeling he does)?
He’s definitely a modern winger. Very Bowen esque, left footed right winger, very good dribbler not reliant on pace
Jakirović was a ball-winning defensive midfielder in his playing days. He’s 6’3” as well. It’s unfathomable that he doesn’t realise how important a position it is considering how bad our defensive record is and how easily teams cut through our midfield.
