Well done City, they were superior all over the pitch and restricted Stevenage to no real chances. Stevenage let’s face it were dire & thoroughly deserved to lose.
That puts a real marker down for this division. Got to keep it going v Donnie on Saturday. Just the sort of banana skin we slip on. Win that and Chelsea are a free hit. Full house, do our best but if no win move on. Lincoln away will be another tough one.
We did really well to grind that one out. Cracking finish from Robbo, a real example of the quality he's capable of and shows just how lucky we are to have players like that sat on our bench. I don't think any other team have players of that calibre sat bench warming?? As BfB says, a real marker and sets us up brilliantly for what should hopefully be a good performance in front of a decent crowd.
We play them again in a few weeks. Wonder if they’ll play park the bus again. Not knocking Stevenage but the crowd was 4420 odd, and 1350 of those were away fans.
How Stevenage are in the top six, I don’t know. Bog standard team relying on muscle and hoofball. I think we’ll take them apart at our place.
Finding different ways to get results. Its all based on a sound foundation and playing style. Players confident in what theyre doing, and in each other. No panic. Not doing things for the sake of doing things, but because theyre the right things. Long, long way to go, but its looking positive. Once again, impact off the bench. A squad effort. Tanner coming back will give us a different dimension. Other than that, does BBM see out the season with what hes got or look for one or two additions. Another winger and a left back? Tan must be finding it strange that his manager isnt phoning him up asking for another 4 signings. Just another 4. How can I deliver what you want without another 4 signings?
You know plenty about the bog IB coming from the land of music and dancing…what with your poor man’s guitar and your silly shoes with the turn up toes! Where’s the Guinness you owe me?

It's all going frightfully well isn't it Bloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooobirds
Well I am home safe and sound after my aborted attempt to drive to Stevenage for the game tonight. With all that has been going on with the weather conditions and problems with the Severn Bridge, I was making good progress. However, there was a five vehicle accident on the M40 which brought everything to a halt and the time lost as a result would have seen me arriving after the second half started and having to find a parking space too. I did manage to get the last 20 minutes on Radio Wales and someone sent me the Sky highlights. Although I am disappointed not to have seen the game, there are far more serious things going on in the world so I'll chalk it down to experience
Later today the sun will rise, they'll also be another motorway shut for an accident or roadworks, especially if you're travelling to or from an away match, same as it ever was. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
