Yeah, I was fooled by the romance of Lewis wining his 8th. I think he’d have retired had he wasn’t cheated out of that in 2021. But yeah is like watching scaletrix when I was a nipper.
As per any large reg change the team that picks the right design idea first will win the first season of it as everyone fights to catch up. New engines, new fuel, new aero regs, new tyre specs - could see some interesting results for the first 1/3 of the season as reliability and understanding bed in. Would love hamilton to get his 8th with Ferrari but even if they get the right car design for him, operationally they will shoot themselves in the foot often enough to lose any chance of a title. Be interesting to see if Newey gets the next Aston right and we truly see if Alonso still has it in him to be at the front?
I meant Lewis… If Ferrari screw up again, and Newey gets it right, could actually see Leclerc moving to Aston.
Ah ok. Think he should have retired instead of moved to Ferrari but who am I to say what he does with his time. Leclerc at Aston isn't a bad call at all but it depends on the car. Pretty sure Newey will build a car capable of winning - just don't think Stroll and Alonso have enough between them for the constructor's even with the best car.
