    Get rid!
Is he trying to say that he doesn't want to play at right back?
What's wrong with Wilkinson by the way?
    Shotton isn't as good defensively

Blame Tony Pulis Pennant SHOULD have started with Wilko at right back!
Can not see us getting anything from this game now tbh..

Wilkos injured, but we should of gone wing backs like against everton!

To those questioning TP's team selection, I'll say this - why would he change a winning side?

It's easy to say "Oh, so-and-so should have started and we should have played whatisface in that position", but we've looked good recently, and although Woodgate was obviously crap today, at least Pulis had the gumption to admit as much and hauled him off.

If he'd shuffled his pack and we'd lost, people would be saying "Why change a winning team?".

CREDIT to T.P. when it's due mate.. he took Floodgate off and once he did we looked a different team, 2nd half was brilliant.

And, I am FULL of praise for Tony Pulis.. humble pie time for me Jose.
You were also correct our FIRST 4 game win streak since promotion. <ok>

And, it's great to see Pennant doing his job... brilliantly. As did everyone today.

First time we have won 4 games on the trot in the top flights since 1981. Well done lads lets hope we can do Man City on Wednesday too and keep the run going!

Fantastic, isn't it? After the debacle at Bolton and the home game against 'Castle, I never expected a run like this.

It's Man City away and we'll play how we want!

Can not believe the turnaround Jose.. wonder what Smither's will say.?
I think we're all pretty well "made up"

Valid point Jose, but he does tinker when it suits........ HUTH....:emoticon-0184-tmi:

We debated this after the Everton win and any CB at RB just doesn't make sence IMO. especially when we have 2 better suited players for that position, Wilko & Shotton? I know Wilko is injured and Shotton is playing ahead of Pennant (for a number of reasons) but that excuse can not be used for many of the games this season.

We all know that 3 x CB's means 2 x Wing Backs! Anyway, TP responded well and seems he made the right decessions, so credit where its due - he used plan B which a few of us though he didn't have! Chuffed with the result.

Yep, I don't like seeing Woodgate at full-back, and neither do I like seeing Huth there.

However, we'd won our last two with Woodgate there so it would've been a bold decision to change that. I'm just glad he had the humility to admit it wasn't working and changed it (although it was a fairly easy decision to make, truth be told).

Nether the less he made the decession that in the past he would have not made - the decessions that rile us stupid sometimes. Like I said - Fair play to TP, he seems to be getting the balance right at the moment.

In fact, contrary to my first post, I thought Shotton played well at right back.
I'm not really a 'Pulis out' guy but I do wish he'd be more adaptable. Stoke played well yesterday, against Fulham and Man Utd. It would be nice to see us pass the ball like that more often.
I think we just need a some cover on the wings and another left back and then I'd be pretty happy with the whole team.

LB? How about Leighton Baines Ryan! Oh, and another midfielder, Whelan is injured and I think? We'll miss him, hope I'm proved wrong though and this run is continued.

AFTER the Man City game, as I can not even as one of the most optimistic fans in as much as( I always believe) but the game with Villa should be another chance for 3pts.
    IF we play well.
