    An important game on Saturday?

With all this talk about the Europa League I thought I best start a thread about the Wolves game so...

I think it's winnable but a much tougher game than some Stoke fans are expecting.
Would I take a pt and move onto the next game.. yep I would.

That said I would like to see us have a right go and if T.P. picks an attacking team who knows. Thoughts?

P.S. WHERE on earth is Sgt Potter? he would usually P.M. me if he was away or something comes up but I've not heard a whisper. Thread Starting is HIS JOB not mine but it would be nice to see the various Stoke and of course Wolves fans expectations.

    Over to you..

    <cheers> Pott's

It's a very important game and we can now focus on the PL in the coming weeks. We are on a bit of a roll at the moment and so I would hope to get at least a point at Molineux but Wolves did beat us there last season. They also fought back well vs the Mackems last home game so it will be tough. That said, if TP adopts a positive attitude we should get something. The starting 11 will be fresh having stayed at home in midweek and the defence should be solid compared to Wednesday. For them Fletcher is one to watch but buoyed by our win against the spuds a draw should be achievable for us. Europe can wait for now!!

I have always said that it is more important to get results and play well against teams in the bottom half than the top half! It as always been my gripe that TP tends to be more negative against these teams, but the little run we have put together would suggest that we will get something.

For me, a positive away point, sensible selections and subs would do me just fine!

Why don't you just round up those numbers. Maths wasn't my best subject. Decibels always confused me.

    I hope for

    Begovic

    Wilko
    HUTH
    Ryan
    Wilson

    Pennant
    Palacios
    Whelan
    Etherington

    Walters
    Crouch

    Woodgate
    Shawcross
    Huth
    Wilson

    Shotton
    Whitehead
    Whelan
    Etherington

    Crouch
    Walters

Didn't think of looking for the team announcement first, which was already out when I posted the team above. But I needn't have bothered - TP is so predictable sometimes.

Quite an attack minded bench too, and good to see Pennant part of the squad again. He seemed quite up for it against Besiktas.

I think I said something like 8 points Potts, recent displays and results have completely blown our predictions away!

I must admit I don't think the free-kick awarded for the foul on Walters was actually a free-kick, and we got lucky there. However, the second goal was a fantastic cross by Ethers, and how Crouch squeezed in that header, I really don't know. :D

I ONLY noticed this morning, I watched the Spurs game last night on V.R.
their penalty came from a corner..

It wasn't a corner to start with another blunder by Mr Foy <ok>
And the other night v Besitas they scored from a corner that should not have been awarded.
Still, a great hit by Huthy saw it on my PC.

Thank you potts. Great second half performance. I only hope that T.P. now wakes up and realizes we have problems at full back positions. as all the opposition will have noticed. centrehalfs playing fullback is not the answer, no cover for an injured wilco and no leftback at all, lets hope santa has some fullbacks spare in his bag.

Well, I have not sent my letter to Santa yet. I'll ask him for two x Leighton Baines and A N Other full backs, and another Centre half. Just in case. <ok>
    Thanks for he imput too!
