That was the only bit I cringed at. Everything else all good by me. Bit of fun, bit of serious, bit of football.

Not everyones cup of tea I get. But nobody had to watch. Some seem to think it is a personal insult.

Mate, I think everyone saw it for the car crash it was.

No harm in a bit of daft banter over it

Sorry but that really misses the whole point, invested people who may be going did have to watch ...

... it's football, not Eurovision, where the outfits and make-up are as inportant as the songs.

I doubt Mexicans, Palestinians, Ukranians, etc thought the Trump love-in was harmless tbh.

Peace prize ffs, he's a convicted criminal and peedo-protector.

Possibly not, but thats way above my pay grade for commenting. Sad everything seems to be political or needs an angle.

Its sport, meant to be entertainment and an escape from real life, least it is for me.

I just wanted the draw done.

EDIT. If ive offended anyone, I sorry, if ive misunderstood the political undertones im also sorry.

Im off back in my bubble

Once again not mine but FaF.

Apologies. I enjoyed most of it.

Will leave everyone to the moaning about it now. Doesnt take much anymore for a thread these days to become a bit of a spiral downwards.

The more shyte we swallow the more it becomes sportswashing and makes us all look gullible imo.

People are allowed to voice their opinion mate ...

... just because they don't agree with you it doesn't mean the thread has gone downhill.

Your opinion doesn't mean you own the thread or can deride people who disagree.

Mate, i read this thread and the one over the road as a laugh. I appreciate some may take it a bit more serious, threads are what they are, but I felt this one i felt was quite light hearted.

    Sorry again mate

Of course. Folk can post what they want. Just surprises when folk say they have to watch it all when they dont. They can moan as well. Just not my cup of tea. I reckon I am entitled to say so. My opinion on a thread going downhill is just that, an opinion.

It's very easy for people to claim threads go downhill, the best posters are chased off and the forum isn't what it used to be ...

... but, as you've just said, people can simply turn off/log out if they don't like what they're seeing.

Come on, its been a daft thread after a car crash of a draw.

If it was the fa cup draw we would all be laughing.

No need for a big inquest imo

    Sorry mate, I don't agree.

Any football draw shouldn't have political aspects and sportswashing.

If we're just expected to accept anything that's thrown at us we become gullible dopes imo ...

... we already knew FIFA was corrupt and now they've thrown it back in our faces.

Looks like I'm not alone in being offended.

Why is a footballing organisation handing out peace prizes? Does the Nobel Committee award football prizes? Fair enough, give Pres Trump a nice trophy as co-host. Fifa does important work between nations but Infantino’s Fifa risks coming across as a political body
