Yes. Well, we've done it in every other game we've been in. In fact sometimes we come out stronger. I'm HOPING it's just a 'matter of time' sort of thing, but I'm worried about something happening against the run of play. PS: I can see why you guys have so many clean sheets now.
I think we're going to see Agustien sooner than later. We need more muscle in the center of midfield. For Gower I think. Allen has done ok and Britton is doing ok.
We don't usualy play like this...I think it's a big credit to you that we have everyone behind the ball...I also think it's a case of us trying something different today, try and scrape a point or steal a win sort of thing. We have been so open at the back usualy we conceed a lot. I think you will see a better performance second half
Shocked (and pleased ) by this performance by Swansea so far. Alas we will probably keep playing well without scoring and get beat by the last kick of the game!
I'm hoping Ben Arfa comes on. You guys are locking out our big forwards when it comes to crosses and so on (there must be about 5 heads all going for the same ball) so I think we need some trickery.
Horrendous!!!!!!!!!! How we are level at half time, God only knows. Men against boys doesn't do it - more like Girl Guides. They are faster, stronger and better at almost everything. Loose ball? Toon. Fifty-fifty? Toon. Passing? Toon. Movement? Toon. Pace? Toon. You name it, they are doing it better than us. We've hardly got out of our own half and the only problem Krul has faced is the likelihood that he might have seized up through inactivity. This is woeful and inexcusable! For Goodness' sake, Norwich put 4 past them. The only parity we have is the score and that is thanks to Vorm (again) and the posts. Surely we can't be as bad in the second half? Buck has to come up with something at half time otherwise this game has gone. What he can do I don't rightly know because so many of our players are having a 'mare. Kemy might beef us up in midfield but it would help if we could hang on to the ball for a few seconds and string some passes together. As soon as we get it, we lose it and back they come again putting us under more pressure. So far, if this is winning an ugly point, we are succeeding. The only good thing is that we are level and still in with a chance.
This is the difference with Tiote and Coloccini back in the side. Against Norwich we had Perch and Simpson at CB who are short and small framed guys with little CB experience. They got destroyed by Norwich's big and tall forwards when it came to any kind of cross. Luckily, you guys don't have guys like that on the field, and Coloccini is back anyway, so it's all good.
ok it is men against boys with the different in strength and depth between the two teams but even though they are all over us we just may get a breakaway goal.....come on you jacks....
take grayham off we have not had one shot on target yet, lita would be better suited with this sort of game....
Much, much better second half. First half I wasn't that impressed, but Newcastle away is a tough place to come so 0-0 at half time, regardless of performance, is alright by me! Second half we retained possession, Kemy looked tidy in midfield and the players showed a bit of confidence to take people on and back themselves. Much better, and, I think, a fully deserved point. My man of the match? Jazz Richards.
A good point - more of a clue in the final third and we could have won this because had openings. The value of this game is that we stood up and defended dead balls in the final third and crosses very well. So much better than against Rovers. Caulker clearly makes a difference.
Much better second half and probably deserved a point for a great defensive display but overall we were not good today. We have played far better and lost to be honest. Have to praise Toon for their display but far too many of our players took an early Xmas day off this afternoon. As one commentator said after Routledge put a great ball into the box, "Criminal, where was the support? Routledge must be wondering where the rest of his team mates were". Have to go out now so my summary is, GREAT point, very poor display especially the first half.
We battled and scrapped for the point, and we got it, I'm happy with the result, well done the Swans!............ please log in to view this image Ivor chill, we did good, that was a very tough game, and full credit to our boys and Rodgers!.......... please log in to view this image
