Call me old fashioned but I prefer my keepers to be good shot stoppers and command their box over any other attributes.

 

Can we have a separate "Our goalkeepers are **** thread"?

There are those that it sometimes seems would pretty much define any goals conceded as a keeper mistake

However, We will need a Prem level keeper whenever we go up and that isn’t Macca and isn’t currently Bazza, but he’s still young so …

Yeah but that’s not new and trendy so SR don’t want that.

 

I'll be fuming if we are still debating Baz or Macca in February.

 

Not sure McCarthy does either of those things well to be fair, but I prefer Baz over McCarthy because you need to be able to use your feet in todays game.

 

I really don't expect us to sign a new keeper in January.

 

Not even on loan?, the two we have cost us too many points atm.

Big Striker and a starting GK for me, we are well covered elsewhere.

 

He's not brilliant at them but comfortably better imo.

I think we can all agree that the biggest problem is that neither are good enough for where we want to be.

 

Over 2/3rds want a new GK in Jan according to our poll.

Of course but at mo he’s ours & with his present game time at NU, I think he’d return. But then again, there’s always the SR factor.
