There's loads of articles on the net in relation to the event being political, I didn't put any of them up though because they just bore the **** out of me, but in response to your point about Ukraine... https://theconversation.com/ukraine...-the-contest-has-always-been-political-182767
Nope. I think it's ok but don't particularly like the rap bit in it. It holds together just with the several layers of stuff going on.
The great thing about Eurovision is we all have different opinions. For me it’s one of the great Ukrainian Eurovision entries of this decade. Next year it’s just Zelensky singing My Way in his army uniform.
I was going to post these girls up in reply to him, but I couldn't remember their ****ing name... Not that they've been on Eurovision or I don't think so. Just random singers I came across some years back. Posted them on here before.
You can't watch the 5 o clock news and see Russia/Israel bombing the **** out of houses and then at 9 o clock say "time the forget about politics and watch those two countries sing about gay people" Germany made this Political because as soon as Spain began grumbling they threw down the glove and said if Israel is out theyd boycott
Disagree - we all watch stuff on the news that we then mentally switch off from as we pursue our preferred choice(s) of evening entertainment...
Yeah but The Simpsons doesn't take 5 minutes waving an Israeli flag and screaming VOTE 4 US TO HOST IN JERUSALEM!!
There was a lot of flapping about boycotting the World Cup should Israel qualify. An easy position to take when it’s highly unlikely and they were happy enough to compete in the qualifiers alongside them. Not a chance Spain etc. would’ve given up their place but Eurovision is something a relatively tiny number of people really care about so it’s great for the likes of Spain and Ireland to show how virtuous they are with no risk of anyone at home kicking off about it.
That's true Not to mention both Ireland and Spain have been **** at Eurovision for years and Slovenia never make it to the finals
