It may be that they will be obliged to follow the lead of the Swiss courts rather than the orders of the FIFA monopoly.
I dunno, now CAS has ruled in UEFA's favour it'll be hard for the Swiss courts to justify overruling them. After all, the Swiss courts were the ones to recognise CAS as a valid court, and that it has the final say in sporting decisions. The only body that could overrule CAS would be the EU, and that would be another Bosman in the making.
To be fair Bayern would rinse you anyway, unfortunately. Although the extra money would be handy for you boys come the summer.
Its always best to stay on the germans good side, say nice things and stuff. They have a history of violence you know.... please log in to view this image
Even if it does happen, I'm not sure that I like it. And the people that complain about our midfield have proven how little they know. If anything, our midfield has been pretty decent in the last few weeks. The problem has been that we haven't been taking our chances. Hernandez and Rooney included. I've lost count how many times I've wondered whether they do any finishing practice at Carrington...
Given Hernandez has been injured for some 2 weeks now I think its super impressive he's getting these chances in the first place. Or maybe you are referring to the one PL match in 4 he didn't score in prior to getting his injury.
I mean generally. People haven't been taking their chances like they should. And Hernandez isn't an exception to that. I didn't say we don't need a midfielder. I'm saying that the assessment that people have been making about our midfield being poor is wrong because that is not where the problem has been in the past few weeks. Our midfield have been defensively decent and creating a lot of chances.
Very, Very good team. They have a typical German efficiency about them, and with players like Ribery and Robben they will create tons of chances. Darkhorses to win the Champions League this season IMO. Arsenal and Napoli as well - You never know. I'm pretty sure Bayern would beat United by at least 3 goals over the two legs should they play.
Apparently that nutcase in charge of FC Sion is planning to file a criminal charge against Blatter, to go with the ones he filed against Platini and co a few months ago... that ought to end well. Google translate is a bit sucky but it also seems to indicate the Swiss FA believes itself bound by the rulings of the civil case and are prepared to goto the CAS to challenge the validity of Fifa's decision. I thought one of the main reasons FIFA is so corrupt (and yet reassuringly independent) was that it did what it wanted and got really pissy when courts/governments tried to interfere. http://translate.googleusercontent....-12-17&usg=ALkJrhhKOGBL2Pw-YbKn6hVEeXanNPZq-Q
Ribery is absolute rubbish. Surely one of the most overrated players of all time. Napoli aren't even the best team in a very weak Serie A. Arsenal? Are you kidding me? Take Van Persie out of their side and they are an average team at best.
Bayern have one of the best midfields I've seen for some time - if a muppet like Gomez can score a hatful of goals then the midfield must be tasty. Ribery is overrated but still a very good player. Robben still has it. Schweinsteiger seems like he has been around forever but is only 28 and still getting better. Muller and Kroos are two of the best young midfielders around and they usually leave one of them out.
I think Ribery is dreadful. I really don't know why some people rate him and I think Robben is miles better. They are a good team but nothing special and not as good as some make out.
