Just woke up and seen the result! Wow what a result!
Just watched the highlights and we looked really good. Chelsea looked off though. Their defense on that goal was shocking! Brilliant!

They couldn’t handle the pressure. We fought like terriers for every ball for the ninety minutes and a lot of the 100m plus players hate that. The pressure was terrific from all ours

Liverpool haven’t looked great this season but have the players to hurt us. Same formation, play the same, fans behind us, late kick off and we’ve got every chance of beating them at ER Saturday. My only worry is that we’d want to start the same team but not sure if that’s wise fitness levels however bar maybe Justin and Gruev we don’t have many like for like replacements.

A lot will depend on how much that effort last night will have taken out of the players

Still buzzin'. If Citeh and Chelski couldn't handle the 352 we've got to keep it. With 433 we looked light at the back and up front. Playing to wingers who didn't contribute enough. Even with 433 our FB were our most effective wingers so it makes absolute sense to switch it up.
chelski tried to make the pitch wider 2nd half with two excellent wingers but we still kept them out, not quiet.

As Maresca said we deserved it. MOT.

    Bring on the bin dippers.

Liverpool have been like us this season. Not taken their chances and had a soft underbelly. They could and should have had more points. So should we.

last night was great, but I think we were flattered by how error prone they were, they’d had two big matches prior to us and less rest and some squad rotation. Not taking anything away from the boys. I fancied we’d have a chance against Liverpool but with them you know it could turn quickly.

Everyone raving over 3 at the back as problem solved. I don’t think it’s that simple, but our new reincarnation as Wimbledon of the 80’s has at least rattled a few cages

Shout out to the normally inept, against us anyway, Darren England, let the game flow and didnt fall for their theatrics and farcical play acting.
Can't remember who it was now but he went down holding his face when it was obvious he hadn't been touched, England just looked at him, gave a little shake of the head as if to say to himself'****er'

Usually when we think a ref has been fair it means he gave us everything <laugh>. I agree though he let the game flow and it seemed like most decisions were on point.

What a great game the whole team played. Best I’ve seen of DCL, won nearly every aerial duel and really rattled their centre backs, was MOM for me, closely followed by Gudmenssen. Will be difficult to maintain that level of intensity every match though.

The good thing is we only need that level of intensity for about ten games and that would probably mean survival. Important hing is they know now after last two games what they are capable of. We also gave Villa their belly full and they are the best team in pl outside Arsenal
