This to me an absolute MUST WIN game by no shadow of doubt, from kick off we must show positive intent. We have the players to control, outplay and outscore. Personally a win is fine, but we should be winning this match by at least a 2-3 goal margin. COYG

I think we should win, but this is going to be a more difficult game than some people think.

Brentford are a solid team defensively and they have dangerous attackers with pace and power in Outtara, Schade and Igor Thiago (who is 2nd top goalscorer this season behind Haaland). Let's not forget the Kayode long throw, which is a powerful weapon. And let's face it, as good as we've been attacking set-pieces, we've not been the best defending them...

However, their away form isn't the best and they've only won once (against West Ham), so we should be looking to emerge victorious.

Any win would be good, but I think it'll be a tight 2-1 win.

Crush the ****ers. If we come out slow and lethargic I'll be pissed off.

After the week we've just had, I don't think it's realistic to expect a high octane, high energy, 10/10 performance.

It'll be a close game IMO. I feel we will win, but it won't be a stroll in the park.

I 100% agree with cini65, Arteta will have given a huge bollocking to the players after the sideways/backwards perfomance against Chelsea. My gut feeling is we'll see us going 100mph out of the blocks tonight, hopefully we are clinical (with a bit of luck) on goal and be 2 or 3 up by HT, can't see us doing an implosion like City last night, however the new CB's need to gel quickly!

Yes, we need to play with high intensity tonight and purpose - I do not want to see us second best in every duel again and passing without conviction.
I'd start Rice as the 6 with Odegaard and Eze as the two 8's.

    Raya
    Timber
    Hincapie
    Mosquera
    Calfiori
    Rice
    Odegaard
    Eze
    Saka
    Gyokeres
    Maritnelli

Look, I would love for you guys to be right and I hope you are, as it would make life easier for us and would be a huge confidence-booster ahead of the Villa game.

I just don't think the game will transpire in that way. Brentford are a better team tactically than some people think. But obviously, I expect our quality to shine through and get the job done.

I like your team, however, I can't see Arteta starting Gyokeres. :(

Just looked at Brentford's team - interesting that Jordan Henderson, Nathan Collins and Igor Thiago are all on the bench and not starting, they must not be fully fit.

What may work in our favour is Brentford don't have their best XI starting, either. I think it's time to trust the players we've brought in.

Let's hope we bring the win home!
