I agree. I saw Smug posting about it a few weeks ago and 99 times out of a 100 a player will try it and it will go wide over the top etc.. will be very rare it actually beats the keeper and stays on target. I was definitely more of the persuasion that Roefs wouldn't concede one because opposing players would miss. Glad i didn’t bet the house on it
It worries me but obviously the modern goalkeeper coaching, noticed their keeper was in the same spot in the second half.
Just has to look at Thomas Franck and how things are turning sour so quickly at Spurs. Grass isn't always greener and all that.
My main concern is that there’s no pressure on a player who shoots from the halfway line … … even if it’s a mile wide the crowd will just cheer like idiots
Good point! Expected to miss so might aswell have a cracking at it! Now I'm not going to out my house on it like but I reckon Roefs could do that the rest of the season and not be beat like he was at the weekend! That was some hit but if he did that all Monday morning on the training ground he would miss more than he scored! Add in we gave the ball away where it held up in the surfarce water with no one close enough to even distract him as wewere artacking the corner, but we were lucky and scored our goals despite the stats according to Mags and Bournemouth!
