Huge sigh maybe, but that was a big leap forward. Lots of room for improvement as well, which is reason to be optimistic as that shows this team has a lot more to give IMO.
Even Jurasek looked the part, albeit for 7 minutes or so. That may have been a good bit of man management by PC
Very true, but the structure and organisation was another step on from Oxford. PC now has a whole week to find another step forward.
Keller Fisher got Man of the Match - can't disagree with that! An enjoyable afternoon and the fans stayed in huge numbers at the end. The support was fantastic today. Disappointed for Sarge not getting that 4th but it will come. He was a huge Team player today - ran his heart out, defended and great assist for Forson when Sarge could've been tempted to go for goal. Team effort today - fantastic. The drive home today will be far more enjoyable. Onwards and upwards. Have a good evening everyone.
I forgot this feeling! First win at him since May! Lets hope that’s a massive weight lifted off the players shoulders. Players looked out in their feet last 20, definitely still work needed in that front
Fisher was WhoScored's MotM as well with a rating of 8.2, just pipping Mattsson on 8.0 and the marvellous McConville on 7.9. Things are stirring folks!
Not if he can keep on playing like he did today and the same for Fisher and Mattsson. Cordoba has the advantage of being left footed but he'll have to earn it.
No, but I can see Cordoba mounting a challenge to Darling in due course. Under Clement's coaching, JC will have a lot of his current rough edges smoothed off, and his left-footedness, pace and passing are big assets on that LHS.
I was having similar thoughts, Robbie. Darling started well but his performances have fallen off in recent games. Time will tell.
The fans fully deserved that result, after a dreadful season so far. As stated by another contributor, much more effort and endeavour. So why has it taken so long to show itself with the players?
