Not often you think a late-ish sub is MOTM but Smyth is definitely it. At the other extreme can someone please explain what's happened to Kone? His sub performance was ludicrously slow and littered with errors.
I'm a fan of Field. He always gives 100% and does the important things quietly and effectively in the Clint Hill style. He's also pretty decent going forward.

I like Field too. He lost his place because Varane ( on his day..which comes and goes) is better defensively and Madsen on his day is better attacking. I wonder if he has now found his place in this team...especially if we hearing Norrington-Davies might be recalled in Jan
Doesn’t hurt to have another player good in the air in the team especially against dross like last night whose Plan A, B and C was to kick it in the air and eventually win a second ball to put a cross in.
So Jimmy popped his shoulder, that's painful and problem is that it will keep happening, he'll have to be very careful....
I think he is carrying an injury. He came on last night and smashed defenders around but never looked like making a chance. A bit like Frey. Which begs the question. Why not Frey?
