Interesting debate. I don't agree with yellow cards for taking a shirt off, also all it does is highlight taking the shirt off which then leads to another shirt underneath with usually a message of some description.

Now putting all of the above to one side...

The guy is a grade A twat. The only person that should be holding up a number or a name on a player shirt is the fans - like the banner representing the memory of Diogo Jota.

I can forgive him for his selfish actions, my punishment would be for Slot to extend his match ban.

Next time just get on with the job that you are paid a ridiculous sum of money to do, and let the fans decide the heros as is proper, it was not a good look....

Then if you ever become a Maradona, Messi or even Ronaldo, you can come back and thank me lol...he won't, it was only a tap in for christ sake!

May God forgive the policeman..................... but the copper is still an idiot !
    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...-Williams-vicar-friend-Bible-hate-speech.html
So, if King Charles makes his Christmas speech - in which he might give some message of 'Christian love for each other, will the idiot police officer threaten to arrest him ?

I would like to consider myself as a person of Christian principles - but - I can appreciate the 'goodness' in the ethos of other Faiths - and, even most Muslims share the same 'good' principles associated with Christianity .......((( they're not all terrorists - just like most Germans were peace loving people. )))

If we allow fanatical behaviour of a few radical believers of other 'faiths', why can't Christianity be allowed the same voice ?

Gary Lineker was allowed to get away with much mouthing of 'political impartiality'.......... and was handsomely rewarded !

-- yet, the newsreader in this report gets sacked for silently raising an eyebrow !!
    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...artine-Croxall-women-pregnant-people-row.html

I'm fairly sure that my mother was a woman when she was pregnant with me... What is wrong with people ? ......I admit, I struggle with the obsession with 'Wokeness' (( is that a word ? )), in our society..... Perhaps the people at the BBC can tell me exactly what miniscule fraction of ONE percent of pregnant people are not women - just so that I can be clear as to exactly how impartial the Corporation is being with pregnant women.............................. and, for good measure, they could employ Lineker to make the announcement whilst wearing womens' / - sorry, I meant 'peoples' lingerie........ .....
...... You might say that I'm now just being silly - but - in this World of Woke can you really accuse me of stupidity ?

My understanding was and still is she wasn't sacked. She was taken off air for 11 days? I agree with her correction.

To be fair - Reeves could easily win this thread's award every day........ Her latest idiot idea is to encourage people to breed like rabbits - because it's not fair on families where the nominated person to become pregnant is unable to keep their legs closed !...... Remind me - who's going to provide the bottomless pit of benefits for 22 kids and counting ?..... my triple-lock looks a good bet.

Another idiot plan going well................ and you'd have to be a real idiot not to have foreseen the outcome........ and we continue to keep giving these people everything - --- of which, less than 20% is achievable with the fabulous State pension I get !

BBC News........... almost making Reeves look credible !
Did the BBC News not think that Trump wouldn't defend what he said (( in full, and in the order and context in which his words were spoken ?? )) Now we have the prospect of paying £ 1 BILLION if Trump doesn't receive an apology (( sincere or otherwise ))

I may not exactly like all of what comes out of Trump's mouth - but - the BBC are supposed to be impartial.... and if they cannot - then I feel entitled to stop paying my licence fee, if it's going to be wasted on fines - for which the Corporation won't be accountable............................ I might need a top up on my triple-lock !

My vote goes to the Parking Warden who is ill advised me this week leaving me with a PCN.

On Tuesday I was required to go to Sittingbourne for a work meeting with external stakeholders. As we were meeting at the rail station, I decided to park in the forum car park just across the road. I went to the ticket machine and started typing out my number plate as one normally would, however after the third digit of my number plate being entered, the screen immediately moved to the payment page. It wouldn't allow me to return and I hadn't pressed anything different so I assumed this was an error with the machine and paid the £3 for the 2 hours I required. Having done this, I saw an enforcement officer doing the rounds of the car park so I thought I'd do the right thing and seek him out and explain what had happened and that the ticket I'd rightly paid for had only printed out part of my number plate. He asked me if I had bought it at a machine, I pointed towards which machine it was and then pointed towards my car so he could see the number plate and that the first three digits at least were the same. He told me that was fine so I went back to my car and displayed the ticket as normal.

That of course was a lie as by the time I returned to my car just under two hours later, low and behold the half-wit has stuck a PCN to my driver's window which I have to go through the rigmarole of challenging it with Swale Borough Council. Thanks very much indeed Sittingbourne.

    Definitely an idiot
OK - I accept that my last 'offering' was a weak contender for an award as idiot ,,,,,,, but - -
A shout goes out to the turnstile operative at Priestfield who, it was my misfortune to encounter yesterday.....

As usual, I presented my 'ticket' on my mobile phone 'wallet.' Many of you will be aware that the ticket will show Gillingham Football Club, Gordon Road Stand ---- then the Section & seat number & my name - and the QR code....

Upon presenting the phone - for the QR code to be scanned, the operative stared at the phone for about 5 seconds , then said to me '' What's that ?'' I replied ''What does it look like - it's my season ticket details - I then proceeded to read out all the information on my phone screen... and followed it up with '' what did you think I was showing you ? ''................... The idiot replied '' Is that a season ticket ? I didn't know - this is my first day on the job.''...................... I would hope it was his last !

I did think when the ref gave the penalty that he had given it because of the earlier wrongly disallowed goal.

I hate var enough to say I'd rather have the ref cheating on the balance of probabilities than the nonsense of var. I'm fed up with goals not being properly celebrated, to put it in better perspective, var would never allow drama and emotions like this, we are killing the game for corporate greed...

Was it given for Dack being offside or Clark still being offside after taking the corner, I thought the linos flag went up as he crossed the ball not when Dack headed it? But I could be wrong (and therefore qualify for the title of this thread lol)

Sorry, Changing Man - you can't be as much an idiot as the rest of us - and certainly not the turnstile operative....I actually forgot to add the punchline ---

...when I told the operative that all he needed to do was to scan the QR code, he replied '' My scanner doesn't work'' !!........ honestly, I do NOT make up these stories.

Got multiple nominees for this all linking into the same subject.

On Saturday morning I unfortunately dropped my phone onto the bathroom floor which broke the screen. I contacted someone I know who does phone repairs on the same day and waited patiently for him to reply. Saturday evening he responds to say he's away until Sunday night but definitely could do it. Monday morning comes around and I get a solitary message from him suggesting he'd have to order the screen and then completely ghosts me and doesn't respond to any message thereafter even though I can see he's online. It gets to the point on Monday afternoon that I feel I have no option but to drag myself to O2 for them to fix it. If he'd communicated effectively I could have done this Saturday so that's Idiot 1.

Idiot 2 is the guy in O2 who basically has no interest in them sending it back to be fixed and told me to go around the corner to a store named Cell Fix who should be able to do it for me. So I go around to them and yep no problem, they have a replacement in stock they could use. £80 please and it will be ready by Tuesday lunch time. Great I thought, happy with that, I part with my phone ready to receive it yesterday which I did and happy days, he's replaced some other parts of the phone for me for free. Bonus I thought.

Less than 24 hours later the screen has already broken again and I've had to take my lunch break to drive over to see the same guy to get him to sort it out. No can do, its got physical damage its not covered by the warranty. I beg your pardon? I literally picked it up less than 24 hours ago, its nothing to do with me, I've not dropped it or damaged it. He points to an area of the phone that has gone black and blames me and won't do anything about it barring offering to order a new screen and charge me again. So lets make him Idiot 3.

I have to assume some sort of idiocy also in the fact of dropping my phone and assuming people would be willing to help in this day and age.

I think by the end of idiot 3 I would have had to kill someone, metaphorically speaking of course.

Don't know if I've ever mentioned it (knowing me I probably have lol), I bought a Honor 9 lite about 4 or 5+ years ago, I'd only paid WELL under £200 and it was the best phone I ever had. The battery life alone in it was extraordinary compared to any other mobi I'd had. I've now upgraded to a Pixel, but tbph I would be more than happy to go out and buy another Chinese phone. The reason I mentioned it is because as soon as I saw the £80 charge, which in fairness you thought would have resolved it, I'd have been straight online and ordered another Honor to be delivered tomorrow.
