Match Day Thread Saints vs Leicester City - Tuesday, November 25 - 20:00 KO

I really like the fact he's absolutely ice cold. If you were a player you wouldn't want to be pissing him off either, which is perfect.

 

Absolutely brilliant game that was; most I've enjoyed a normal league game in years.

Only disappointment is that we tailed off 2nd half (again), would've liked us to keep going to be honest, but that's just being picky.

 

Will go into more details tomorrow but my main observations tonight:

1. Our attacking options are ridiculous. Azaz, Leo and Adarma are really clicking now plus Fellows is a massive threat on the right.
2. Massive save by Bazunu at 1-0. Only thing he had to do but top save at a big moment.
3. Jander is on the way to becoming a top player. So good in midfield.
4. We have a proper identity again. It's clear what we want to do and it's a joy to watch.
5. Yeah, Tonda can have the job.

 

Shout out to the Leicester fans as well; truly some of the worst away fans I've seen at St Mary's (and I include the likes of Dagenham, Hartlepool and MK Don's in that)

 

The others are sexier, but my goodness we have one in Jander, don't we?

 

TBF I would be pissed at the ref if I were them. I thought he was awful even if in our favour. His foul tolerance level was inconsistent, at least one of our goals was offside, he didn't stop play when one of their players was down holding his head and Downes should have been sent off. We probably still would have won, but that was a terrible refereeing performance.

 

By an absolute mile the worst fans at SMS this season. Appalling.

Really poor numbers and barely made a noise after the first goal.

I don't think he was the reason they lost. Daka was holding his arse too, not his head, so no reason to stop the game at that point.

Well I don't think there's any doubt that the players want TE to stay on by the sound of things. At least if they pick this one themselves then theres less chance of them packing a sad and barely putting in a shift.

 

Was THB a defender, winger or striker tonight? He was playing like it was a five a side game. Great to have him back playing with confidence again.
