Didn't enjoy the half but at least it's still 0-0, we can definitely play better, just hope we do.

Thought the ref has been one of the worst we've seen this season, anything close to the box and he'll give it for the defensive team, hope he doesn't rob us of a chance to take something from this game because it has that sort of smell about it.

 

id argue we need another body in midfield

but I don’t think he likes any of the available combinations as this 5 at the back been of choice since Diarra got injured

we’ve been caught in transition a few times and our defenders are winning the first ball, want an extra body in front of them maybe

 

Very poor 1st half. See what plan RLB comes up with in the 2nd.......Hawat the Lads..you can do this!

 

Been poor with thr ball, Fulham pressing and countering well. Feel like the ref is giving them lots of soft calls

This is why I HATE 5 at the back. Good for games like the Arsenal one where you’ve no chance of competing with their midfield but when you’re a body light in the midfield at this level it’s hard work, it’s negative as ****.

That’s not a dig at RLB at all, I’ve always had the same opinion on that formation I just don’t like it. Feels like you’re just soaking up pressure all game then praying for a counter or a set piece to nick it. Our midfield is better than Fulham’s imo we should be taking the game to them but if we get a result that’s all that matters I guess

Geertruida into the midfield and a traditional back four would be the easiest solution. Or sub him off for Adingra and move him left with Le Fee in the middle. I’d love Le Fee to get more game time in the middle as a 3 with Xhaka and Sadiki tbh I think he looks best there.
