also if you do take the train to sheffield, unless you live near the train station you also need to get this bus add another £5+
fuel costs to drive are cheaper solo, and then if theres two of you.. double the train cost. or maybe theres a family of you if they want more people to use public transport, the prices need halving
£31 quid for the 52 miles Hull to Sheffield makes the £17 for the 24 miles Brid to Hull look reasonable. Not to mention the Scarborough to Hull line is the slowest stretch of line for that distance in the country.
£3 on the bus, and people still moaned when the subsidised max price went up from £2 to £3. Stagecoach on the other hand took the opportunity to raise their fares to the max £3
To be fair, that's each way, and takes significantly longer especially at peak times. Last time I got the bus down Bev Rd, it stopped and had to change to another as the bus driver managed to smash the passenger side wing mirror off on something near the Dorchester hotel. Must have clipped a tree or bus shelter or something.
Just been on Oddschecker... Current odds for Castle Street development... Finish ahead of schedule (albeit the new schedule) 6/1 Finish on time 5/2 Finish late due to snow flakes falling overnight Wednesday into Thursday morning 4/7
Is £31 for a return that expensive? Realistically, no one on here is going to be able to give you a knowledgeable answer, just an opinion depending on their own experiences and bias. It could be a combination of all three factors - an over-diagnosis, a factor(s) causing higher incidences and greater knowledge of what the condition is.
Driven the thick end of 500 miles the last 2 days and as I sat in traffic on motorways a thought came to mind... A) how the **** has one bridge over the A1 near Wentrbridge taken the best part of 2 and a half years to repair, when it would surely have been quicker, less expensive and have a lesser effect economically to thiose stuck day after day there to demolish the ****ing thing and replace it with one that wouldn't go tits..... and b) what sort of money is being spent on replacing all the central barriers up and down the country with the concrete versions. Who is getting the back handers and what effect has that had economically, loss of earnings etc. Surely, when we are cash strapped, spending money on road infrastructure and replacing central barriers has to go on the back burner... I'm sure people do hit them but dont they still do their job...?
