Doesn't surprise me. His reputation won't be ruined on the back of one short job, and he wanted to come back to England so was always likely to look for another job here. He could do quite well at a club who are not expected to win most of the time and one where his team won't dominate the ball like we did.

It's a risk for Still if he goes imo. Norwich as a club are pretty much as dysfunctional as Saints. Think he needs a stable environment to thrive.
I think being at a club in their position in the league will suit him being able to play as an underdog regularly. Especially as I don't think their squad is terrible.
If Saints are approaching/interviewing managers who are already employed at other clubs it must be quite tricky and needs to be done without leaks that may scupper any potential deal l would imagine. We can only hope that this is the case and that an announcement will be made once the process nears completion. Fingers crossed!!

You might be right. Norwich fans would disagree with you about the squad though - personally I don't think it is bad but was instead used ineffectively by Manning.
Good luck to Will Still. Hopefully ge will get the job and put Portsmouth under a bit of pressure. I think he will ultimately come good.
Tomasson is an interesting one. Did well with Blackburn but very poorly with the Swedish national team
We do have some form in doing things quietly tbf to the club (mainly on the player front). There's been quite a few "where did that come from?" moments.
I was surprised he kept his job when Still left, thought someone made a good point about it possibly indicating that they wanted to give Eckhart the job and he could be the assistant to him. Can’t say I’d be sad to see him go, not been here long and we haven’t been any good whilst he has been here
Still think it's going to end up being Eckert, to be honest. Like others, I wouldn't be surprised if they were aiming for GON, fed his name through the press to gauge reaction, and then turned away after the fans reaction at the match on Saturday.
Yeah I reckon so too. I don't think we should appoint him really but if we're going to then it should be sooner rather than later imo. If we don't do it for another 3 weeks then it's clear that we were looking elsewhere before settling and his authority is shot to bits right from the off.
