Sorry to nitpick, but Andy Dawson has had at least two spells.

That website is full of errors. A properly researched analysis of the tenure of each manager can be found on the Managers pages at www.oncloudseven.com

I felt Phelan was hard done to. Caretaker status for the opening weeks. A tiny squad embellished late by some decidedly average signings (I’m looking at you James Weir). Yet he beat the champions and had us briefly top after two games, and got us to the League Cup semi final. Small achievements for sure, but not nothing.

Ye totally agree, it wasn't a criticism of the manager, just more of the club situation at the time that was a bizarre situation, if I remember correctly... Over summer 2016, were the Allams going to sell the club or not...then we went into pre-season training with a handful of players, then **** the bed with strange signings - some huge, like Mason, then others totally unsuited for the PL, then beat the league champions and had a great August. .. then all went to **** until Marco Silva came in.. not sure if a club has ever come into the PL so under prepared for the task ahead.

Well I think he avoided being labeled a complete disaster but the stuff on the pitch was swiftly going from bad to worse game by game. We did have some decent players in the squad and Markus silva turned the football round completely, even if we eventually came up short. That was a great 2nd half of that season from what I remember, long time ago now.

I went to Bournemouth away when Phelan was in charge. Trying desperately to show humility to all the old codgers who are wheeled out for their home games.

**** me. Ehab Allam is a ****er of the first order.

Phelan was manager when we won the Fifth Round tie against Newcastle. He got us to the semi final.

That’s when Rannochia joined us if I remember rightly. Shaky start, but I liked him a lot, he was huge too.

Interesting read though and sone I thought lasted longer than they did and some I thought were shorter reigns.
