These reporters clearly don't realise how stupid, and childish, they make themselves look ...

Sunderland - and I say this as a massive compliment - are a horrible side to play against. They are almost a throwback to a bygone era but they are so effective. Huge point for them against Arsenal and they roughed up and rattled the league leaders throughout [HASHTAG]#safc[/HASHTAG]

Apparently not <whistle>
Yeah I think it is about time we made ourselves easy to play against <doh> just to keep some of the reporters happy.
We keep it tight then look for opportunities to express ourselves when the situations present themselves. Our attacks are more structured and we were no more or less physical than Arsenal. When they went defensive in last 10 mins we brought on attacking players and created chances.
For me we play a mixture of long and short plays depending on the game at the time, we show resilience, togetherness and spirit. Which club does not want that!

Been a long time since I checked in here but just enjoy the journey lads, the safe ownership hands we are in made this happen and a brilliant manager who I beleive will manage the French national team one day.. I'm having my 2nd triple bypass operation on Monday, this one's a bit more serious so I'll send my best wishes to you all for the last 14 years, keep smiling and be happy the lot of you..

Fingers crossed for your op mate. Hope it goes well.

Like everyone - disappointed with the first goal. This is the style of modern football - playing it out from the back. It has its risks. Gutted for Enzo cos he looked shattered when they scored. He works so hard and is one who tracks back and puts a tackle in.
Maybe on this occasion we should give credit to Rice for his pressing and managing to knick the ball off him.

Arsenal fan tv is the gift that keeps giving

Ballard should have been sent off

wasn’t a foul on Wilson that lead to our goal.

I swear they think teams should just roll over and let them win

I respect Arsenal massively but its not until you play these elite clubs you realise why they are disliked so much. Their entitlement is next level.

The disrespect they have for teams they dont beat is absolutely shocking. Arteta is an absolute Kunt aswell. I hope Liverpool get some form back and win the league now

Roll out the red carpet..

all for the arsenal downfall now.

we have players to come back,

let’s GET CARRIED AWAY

To be fair, Shearer knows plenty about how to lead with his elbow (France 98 v Argentina, for example) :emoticon-0105-wink:.

Walcott showed himself up with that comment, spoiled little brat.

Brilliant performance today, a deserved point and the way we competed against maybe the best team in Europe right now was outstanding. Ballard was definitely MOTM, but everyone put in a shift and a performance. A shame ELF made the mistake for their equaliser as overall he had a good game and looked paggered when he came off. Isadore had a good game as well and ran himself into the ground chasing up front. Traore put in another good display for me. Defensively we were solid, though Arsenal had that 25 minute spell in the second half when they were well on top, we generally coped well with what they through at us. Other than ELFs mistake we didn't give them much space to attack us and stretch us, just a shame that happened, but the quality Arsenal have anything like that was going to be punished. You can't say anything about their second, brilliant strike hit like a rocket.

The subs made were the right ones at the right time and I'm over the moon for Brobbey getting his first goal for us, a real poachers goal as well.

It's been good to see some positive comments from Arsenal fans about us. We definitely feel like we belong here at this level, long may it continue.
Agree and credit where it’s due Shearer put Walcott in his place.

That sub was refreshing. Losing so we might as well put goalscorers on and go for it. And it worked! Regis is a tactical mastermind.

We were loosing at the time and they were sitting back, it was only common sense as was once said "when you have nothing you have nothing to loose" it was a mistake by Arteta to rest on a one goal lead, his subs broke their momentum, and left the door open, with Brobbey in the six yard box anything can happen, and it did. <ok>
