Let's be fair, chaps, at our ages you can't sniff your own crack, now can you?

I wish the Arse had won - they'll really want to smack ours, now, won't they?

any faint remaining hopes of europe have now gone as it means only 5th currently qualify unless one of city, arsenal or utd win the fa cup which i'm not overly sure will happen.

just not meant to be this year lads. if we can get in via intertoto (? - is still going?) is it worth it?

anyone else look at birmingham and think "that should have been us?" absolutely no reason why we couldnt have made it to the final and tbvh i think it is an easier route into europe.

its about time we took the cups more seriously. I've being going to Sunderland matches since the 80's and in all those years can only remember us reaching the 5th round about 4 times let alone the later stages. Our league Cup record isn't any better.
Next year, we must play our best team from the earliest rounds. No more limp exits like this year with what were 'experimental' line-ups. It's not as if Europe is likely after today's game and fixture congestion doesn't appear to be a big problem this year so a few additional games would be nice.
If Birmingham do it so can Sunderland.

Jasper Carrot. Birmingham City man, I think. He must be happy.
Do we have any comedians who support us (rather than play for us sometimes*)?

*Just had to add that to stave off "witty" comments from "their" supporters.
