Let's be honest, his reputation is built on getting Luton promoted. But, it was basically Nathan Jones team that he'd took up, Edwards took over after Jones was recruited by Southampton and he was available after being sacked by Watford. Yep, he got them up, but it wasn't great football and they came straight back down. The next season they bombed and get gets sacked. He was lucky that Boro recruited him, most Boro fans weren't enthusiastic about him getting the job, but again it's someone else's team that's been in and around the play offs. If this goes wrong, he's got nothing to back him up for a decent job somewhere else. One promotion with someone else's team and potentially three relegation involvements in consecutive seasons, appearing to have the loyalty of a stray cat and based on Luton an unattractive style of play won't have many knocking down his door to get him in.
