That we did - went to the pub for the San Siro leg - it was insane when we scored Hated the second leg with a passion - did not enjoy 90 minutes of being on the backfoot...
So, where has all the cockiness gone? Where's all the "you are going to get spanked by Young Boys" gone? Or the "please try not to be an embarrassment to English football" gone? You might have forgotten all those jibes, but we certainly have not. I'm not even going to mention your debacle at the Nou Camp.* *Oops! I just did.
Bless. All those jibes are part and parcel of a rivalry between two sets of fans. Unlike most, you seem to have taken them to heart. But then again with you that is not really a surprise.
Actually, I took all the jibes in rather good spirit, since I was (and remain) extremely confident what a great side the mighty Spurs truly is. The same could not be said for you and your band of humourless morons, who had me banned from your board, because you were unable to take the full force of my insightful comments and incisive wit. It must really hurt you Gooners, having to read words
You are one funny bloke. It would not be the same without you on here. Lets hope you do not get banned from Not606 altogether. Seeing as you have been banned from our board and also the Liverpool one. Oh and Syd banned you after reviewing your case.
I get by. I strongly suspect that that is one of the main reasons you visit this board. Which is ironic, really, given your principle involvement in getting me banned from yours. Hardly likely, seeing as all the other boards seem to comprise of fans who have a bare modicum of humour, and who seem to be able to engage in written banter without throwing their dummies and teddies out of their prams every time they read something they don't like or cannot handle. But thanks for the concern. It's almost touching. You know, one becomes accustomed to not having to try to argue with idiots. I've been on the United, £ity and Chelsea boards (among others), and we've engaged in some fairly robust banter on the odd occasion, and its always been taken in the spirit in which it was intended. It's a shame that you and and the Mickey Mousers spoil it. I've had several posters (some of them non-Spurs fans) PM me and complain what a bunch of tight-arsed upstarts you lot are, on your board, and offering me encouraging words, even admiration at the way I would not be bullied by your tedious and joyless set of fans (with the exception of a couple of Gooners who had the balls to stand up for me and for good common sense). Well, I wouldn't say that Syd is exactly the arbiter of everything fair and reasonable. He would not have been forced to make a decision, had he not been badgered by you, your moronic moderators, and the joyless, lugubrious cretins that you have for board members.
How have Milan improved? Leaving aside the fact that they're currently 3rd, having won last season's Seria A, as there's still a long way to go, in what way are they a better team?
Some of the young players are a year older. Thiago Silva,Pato and Boateng for example. Also at right back Ignazio Abate has started to really show his quality. Alberto Aquilani has added some quality to their midfield. And Antonio Nocerino has been a great buy for them. They are only 2 points off the top. So its pretty tight in their league. And Juve has been really good this season. Not a single defeat and playing some great stuff.
So you mean they've improved since the start of the season, SNIAW? I got the impression that SJW meant that they'd improved since last season. Probably the best team that you could've drawn, but possibly not the worst tie. Either Russian side might've been a tricky test, plus the extra travel would've been draining to the squad. I'd expect you to progress against any of those that you could've been drawn against in this round, so other factors become relevant, I think.
