Well there is no point playing him or any other youngster according to people on here. Then in a few years time they will complain that they weren't given a chance if just one of them becomes good or we should have kept them but then they'll simultaneously celebrate us signing a youngster from say Barnsley who has the potential to be world class and the cycle will start all over again

Woltemade has his break through season in the top division in Germany was a star player for u21s and was courted by Bayern Munich all summer but yeah we unearthed them all. Have they become better players? Yes 100%. Minteh never played for us and yes Brighton bought basically an unknown quantity for a large sum.
He's changed the goal posts and all I can assume is that he means they've got significantly better playing for us as opposed to unearthing a gem. If Minteh had gone on to play for us then I'd have days he was an unearthed gem
As for Minteh yeah someone found a player and someone didn't even realise it. I wonder how many we've found and never realised it.
Minteh was sold due to nonsensical financial regulatuons, same as Anderson. I don't think we can blame the club for him not getting game time. We bought him young, sent him on loan to get experience and then sold him for over 3 times the fee we paid. Not ideal, but good financial business. It was a good find, but financial regs scuppered it. Otherwise we'd still have him (and Anderson) and wouldn't have needed to blow cash on Elanga to replace him.
