High carbohydrate doesn't mean having a meal big enough to cause you to throw up after a few miles of running around. It just means high carb - not high volume. Not as far as 10, no. However, I've studied nutrition for enough time to know exactly what would happen if someone did just that.
The date of ramadan isn't set in stone, and can be moved for such things as clashing with sporting events. So to not bring it forward to the summer is pretty stupid.
Can see it from both sides really, would expect it can have an effect due to the diet/nutritian requirements of a pro footballer, however also id say to completely brush aside a poor performance on the back of 'he was fasting' was a touch blunt. Heres an interesting article from Germany tho, I was always under the assumption that they fit their fasting around games like this article states and can be authorised due to their circumstances. http://www.thelocal.de/sport/20110803-36713.html Surely this must of happened in the past and in other countries and so exceptions/preparations made, however I cant say it has been on my radar until the Tiote/Ba discussion.
It's all pure, indisputable logic. Mathematics. Your body isn't made out of magic. It uses energy, and therefore it needs energy. It doesn't come out of nowhere. The process of converting fat into energy can be measured right down to the individual chemical interactions. There's no mystery or uncertainty about it. It's how your body works. What's bollocks is people commenting on things they have absolutely no clue about whatsoever.
You're so stupid , you think I would consider running 10 miles. You're so stupid you are still making excuses for your players being ****. If they are **** don't play them. You're so stupid you think every PL player is only eating what he is told to eat.
You're trying to be a bigger idiot than Cheik the room aren't you? Are you getting jealous of him being the thickest poster on our board? I know you were the previous holder of that award, but I thought coming second in that would have been preferable?
Another six weeks and you'll wish you could have him too. Reckon he'll go to Mancs , think I read somewhere that he doesn't want to live in London. Agree with Tiote on that.
I had to laugh half way through when MR called someone obsessed! Just read the article, no relevance to Sunderland, just us and one of our players. Hmmm.
Sorry Chappaz, your point is way to unsubstainable.... You read to many books and not enough knowledge of reality........... If you think i have no knowledge of this...on paper your 100% correct... But your talking ****e..... How did 45 commado and 2 para do their yomp or march across the falklands on limited rations... How do all the lads in the forces manage to substain their, fitness and health in all the conficts across the globe, on limited rations of food? They are not prima ****ing donna footballers, with every need catered for..... Sorry but sometimes ignorance is bliss, and books are for geks who know **** all about the real world...
Oh dear so much fail. Ah the thick moderator talking about obsession on the SUNDERLAND board. Making himself look a bigger fool as the original obsessed comment was from a thick skunk. Everything on your board is only about NUFC then? I wouldn't know as I don't go on there. Yeah I'm that obsessed!!!! We on here often have discussions on other clubs, like Chelsea and Man U and their players.
For the most part I agree with that. However, many other players on Ramadan didn't dip in form. These people are professional sportsman working at clubs with top nutritionists so there are many ways, especially in todays age to have a slow release formula or intake that would not make a difference to their performance. Toure for one excelled during Ramadan, also others didn't have any problems. Ramadan next year is during the Olympics and there will be about 3000 Muslim athletes competing - if it made them under perform they wouldn't even bother taking part. To a normal average person who isn't a pro athlete/sportsman what you say is spot on.
Sorry Comm you're wrong mate. Yomping across a desolate waste land is a doddle compared to 90 minutes of footy. Even though the Muslims could have stuffed there faces all night.
Tiote's good, but he's been a bit up and down this season, from what I've seen (2-3 matches on the TV). The Ramadan stuff is a red herring though. I've got a BSc in Biochemistry and skipping food between sun-up and sun-down isn't a problem if you manage it properly. He should know how by now and the NUFC back-room boys will have been monitoring him.
Haha, you know where i'm coming from mate....is Chumparse trying to be serious in all of this? Reality check needed i think......pompous prat. he try to be...or maybe he just never left the classroom.....teachers pet?
