Stephane seems to do everything right, just way too late: picks the wrong team but brings the right players on late or picks a decent team but fails to notice the need of a change in tact and does it with 15 mins left.

Not a game we should be losing. Those two goals looked like shocking defending. Nice shot for their second but he shouldn’t be scoring there.
Terrible result. Especially on the back of Ipswich game. We just love to give ourselves an uphill task!
Have to say though, I do love Burrell. That guy gives up on nothing - he must be a total nightmare to play against.

Southampton's second was sublime, defence backed off and the lad curled into the far corner, I would have been very happy if we had scored one like that

    The TinkerMan Mk2 - that's Stephane

We are shipping goals badly, can't convert our own chances

The back six i.e. including Nardi and Varane is overall not good at all. I like RND, somewhat limited as he is, but defensively it was a shambles again. Nardi glued to his line and lucky to get away with it again.

Can’t keep burning games at home we are more than capable of getting points from but we’ve been doing it for years.

On the bright side, a nice goal from Burrell slightly out the blue which only hammered home how disappointing it was to not give Bazunu much to do. Two very ropey goalkeepers we’ve given easy games in a few days. Dembele made a difference as he sometimes does when there’s nothing to lose- will inevitably get a start on Saturday and go missing.

How the **** did we lose that! Lack of ideas in final 3rd again, on free fall & just not good enough, we have the players but something lacking, another **** journey home, disappointing

Didn't think we were too bad and would have deserved the point. Second goal truly was a worldie. Keep playing like that and I won't be too worried.

V glad to see us try and play without Burrell and Koné together - worked well IMO.

Did it? I was glad too initially but thought Chair in his supposedly preferred position was poor. Never really got the wingers involved.

I thought we huffed and puffed without showing any real threat between about 10 mins to just before we scored. Great save from their keeper at 1-2 to tip Field's header over

Playing Burrell up front on his own really doesn’t work if the ball is constantly played to him rather than into space for him to chase

Really need to get out of this doom loop by gaining at least a point at Shef Utd, but I'm not confident

I thought we looked more fluid that when we've played Kone behind. What I would like to see is Kone start up top and Burrell as one of the wider players...

We're better off without Chair in his current frame of mind. No creativity and we have many wingers to do a better job of what he is actually doing. Dembele looked good when he came on. Saito would have been good if we'd actually given him the ball. Smyth lively as ever if wasteful. Mugged tonight.

I really, really, really hope that is not the case. In previous losing streaks, we've never looked like scoring but we scored today and fought tooth and nail for the equaliser and perhaps a tad unlucky not to get it.

There is quality in this team. It just needs to start scoring more and winning.

I feel sorry for Mbengue who'd had a good game until he fluffed his lines and set up a lucky deflection.

Their second was just plain negligent! No opposition player should be awarded the freedom of Loftus Road like that!

I guess we're looking to the 22nd at home to Hull for our next point(s).

A deeply frustrating night for QPR players and fans alike.

The reality is that we are soft - poor keepers, random defence and we seem to have gone off the boil completely up front

We need to tighten up and stop shipping goals

Starring to play only after conceding is hopeless

We're fine when we can play on the break, but when we've got to break down a side that sits back, we don't seem to have a clue. So much sideways and backwards. Here's a idea - when you play a ball sideways, play it a yard or two in front of the receiving player so that he can take it in his stride. We always seem to play it direct to feet so that the receiver has to wait for it. Play with urgency.

Sombre start with a very long list of players from both teams who died in the 2 World wars, and the way they played the first forty five, it looked like the current teams wanted the silence to continue to half time. Really unconfident, pissing about at the back, Burrell hardly had a touch. Then we gave them the first goal, looked like Mbengue’s fault from where I was, but it was awful. You know the opposition’s sh*t when there’s a 5 second delay before they celebrate. They couldn’t believe they’d actually scored. Can’t really complain about the second. It was amazing. Burrell stole in for his customary consolation - took it brilliantly just as the crowd were starting to turn on the team. And fair play to the subs for keeping the pressure - and excitement- going till the end. But we gave them a two goal head start- again!!!

I said to Stroller and Wubba in the bar before the match ... '' Shall we just stay here and not go to the game?''
Frustrating to say the least. I think the starting Xl was fine but be brave, play with some urgency and go for it. We've got the players to do it! It was a snatch and grab as far as I'm concerned. And one other thing ... Set pieces, we never look like creating or scoring from them. 12 corners tonight, we never got near one of them.

That chance Burrell had where he displayed the first touch of John Leslie was a real killer. Probably the one of the 78 set pieces that did create a chance. Score first early against this Southampton team and it probably goes on to be a pleasant evening. Sigh.

I fully expect half the team changed again for Saturday. Really thinking I shouldn't have bothered with tickets for Sheff utd.
